4 wins gets you 8-9 drafting in the middle and Loomis sticking around (may happen regardless) 8-9 seasons at best for the foreseeable future
Say Rizzi guides us to a 6-2 record after taking over midseason and yes a mediocre draft pick. Why is there this assumption that Rizzi will now coach like DA and we’re going to be a mediocre team moving firward? To me a lot of the reason we were mediocre was because of DA and the culture he created not JUST the talent.

Please stop talking about giving the job to our special teams coordinator
This front office has lowered expectations so much that people actually think our ST coordinator whose only HC experience was at fricking New Haven and Rhode Island U (with an overall losing record) is the right guy for the job...
Dennis Allen 2.0

Dennis Allen was a longtime defensive coordinator and served as a head coach of another NFL team.
I understand you are minimizing him because of his lack of NFL experience but this disapproves your point that hes Dennis Allen 2.0. If anything due to his experience hes the complete opposite.

Because the Saints have an aging and at best mediocre roster going forward. Allen was a terrible coach to be sure but it takes a special delusion to think Rizzi will lead to team to glory
With better coaching they could have made the playoffs in 22 and or 23 but not getting past the WC round

Man you’re obsessed with me. Must have really hurt your feelings. You’re following me to other threads to reply to me based off what I said to you on another thread.
You do realize how sad this is right??

I mean you’re saying we would be in the playoffs last 2 years with better coaching- thats a huge thing. You can’t just dismiss that.
Now making the playoffs and being a winning team isn’t enough for the fan base either?

Hahahaga wow. You really got your panties in a bunch. This is fricking hilarious.

So your argument is that Rizzi is a better choice than Allen bc Rizzi's only HC experience was at 2 shitty colleges where he went 18-23? So bc he couldn't win at the lower college level, he'll win in the NFL due to him having less experience than Allen... is that right?
I'm not minimizing his lack of NFL experience. I'm saying, like DA, Rizzi is historically a loser as HC, and would be a lazy arse pick by the Saints... JUST LIKE ALLEN.
Why should the status quo be to keep promoting assistants from within?

Now making the playoffs and being a winning team isn’t enough for the fan base either?

Never said any of this. You just randomly assumed this.

Technique as a NFL head coach hes 2-0. You’re just pissed that you don’t want the Saints picking the interim as coach. Im not saying they should hire Rizzi but I don’t think you should completely dismiss him either.

Dennis Allen was the first time in Saints history they promoted an assistant to a head coach as a new coaching hire (not including interims). He sucked- that doesn’t mean the process is horrible or bad. I just want this team to get the best head coach and if its Rizzi im fine with that.

John Harbaugh was a special team's coordinator and never a head coach before he became coach of the Ravens and obviously that worked out.
I'm not saying Rizzi would do what Harbaugh has done but just because he's a special teams coordinator shouldn't disqualify him assuming he's not head coach worthy.

I think the NFL is very different than Mora’s time. Look at the NFC other than the Lions who is an actual threat??! Get the right matchups in the playoffs- you never know. Building a team beguns with getting winning going and making the playoffs- you then build from there because at least you have a coach you can believe in- thats half the battle.
