Players in bold are under contract for 2019. Let me know if you notice any mistakes.

Here are the needs that I see. Mostly backups...which is good.
-#2 QB. We also need Brees to take a paycut this year.
-#2 RB (hopefully Ingram).
-Legit #2 WR.
-Legit #1 TE.
-2 solid backup OL.
-Make sure we keep Lutz.
-A stop gap DT for Rankins. Can't spend big money unless it's a 1 year deal imo.
-Re-sign Okafor to a team friendly deal.
-Maybe a pass rushing OLB, but I don't see the need as much as some people.
-Backup CB on the outside.
-Backup slot CB. I'd take PJ for the right price.
-#3 safety.

QB(3) - Need a legit #2. Re-sign Bridgewater or another vet F.A.
-Drew Brees - 33.5 mil (2019) Hopefully he takes a paycut, b/c 2019 might be his last chance to win another SuperBowl.
-Teddy Bridgewater (UFA) - Not sure what his market value is. I don't want to overpay.
-Taysom Hill - 645 k (2019) Good value contract.
-J.T. Barrett - 495 k (2020)

RB(3) - I assume we will use 1 of our late round picks on a RB.
-Alvin Kamara - 1.050 mil (2020) Great value contract.
-Mark Ingram (UFA) - Hopefully he signs another team friendly deal.
-Dwayne Washington - 720 k (2019) Battering ram.
-Martez Carter - 495 k (2019)

FB(1)
-Zach Line - 1.2 mil (2019)

WR(8) - I really like our WR's...just need to add a legit #2.
-Michael Thomas - 1.628 mil (2019) Great value contract.
-Ted Ginn - 3.5 mil (2019) I'll take him for that price.
-Tre'Quan Smith - 820 k (2021) Hopefully he develops a lot in 2019.
-Cameron Meredith - 6.456 mil (2019) He better be 100% healthy to get that much money.
-Dez Bryant (UFA)
-Keith Kirkwood - 570 k (2019) I think he makes the team.
-Austin Carr - 645 k (2019) Very bland unless he can start creating more separation.
-Tommylee Lewis (RFA)
-Simmie Cobbs - 570 k (2019)
-Travin Dural - 495 k (2019)

TE(3) - Need to find a #1. I think our backups are fine.
-Josh Hill - 1.9 mil (2021)
-Dan Arnold - 570 k (2019)
-Garrett Griffin - 570 k (2020)
-Hooman (UFA)

Starting OL(5) - Nothing wrong with our starters if they're healthy.
-Terron Armstead - 16.0 mil (2021) Can he finally stay healthy?
-Andrus Peat - 9.625 mil (2019)
-Max Unger - 8.7 mil (2019)
-Larry Warford - 10.6 mil (2020)
-Ryan Ramczyk - 2.424 mil (2020) 5th Year Option...Great value contract.

Backup OL(5) - We really need to find 2 legit backups. This should be 1 of the main focuses of the off-season.
-Jermon Bushrod (UFA) - Might retire.
-Cameron Tom - 645 k (2019)
-Will Clapp - 588 k (2021)
-Josh LeRibeus (UFA)
-Michael Ola - 645 k (2019)
-Derek Newton - 930 k (2019)
-Nate Wozniak - 495 k (2020)

ST(2) - No problem here.
-Will Lutz (RFA)
-Thomas Morstead - 4.25 mil (2022)
-Zach Wood - 645 k (2019)

DT(4) - Hopefully we can figure out something while Rankins is out. Hopefully a 1 year vet F.A. deal.
-Sheldon Rankins - 4.073 mil (2019) 5th Year Option. Great value contract if healthy.
-Tyeler Davison (UFA)
-David Onyemata - 2.135 mil (2019) He got a pay raise for his performance. Good value contract.
-Taylor Stallworth - 573 k (2020) Good value contract.
-Jay Bromley (UFA)
-Tyrunn Walker (UFA)
-Tomasi Laulile - 495 k (2020)

DE(3) - I think we're perfectly fine here as long as Okafor re-signs. I assume we will use 1 of our late round picks on a DE.
-Cameron Jordan - 14.047 mil (2020)
-Alex Okafor (UFA) - I'd take him back for the right price.
-Marcus Davenport - 3.123 mil (2021) 5th Year Option...I think he plays much better in 2019.
-Trey Hendrickson - 844 k (2020)

LB(5) - Really like our top 2 guys. I like Klein, but not for 6 mil.
-Demario Davis - 8.5 mil (2020)
-Alex Anzalone - 933 k (2020) Great value contract.
-A.J. Klein - 6.0 mil (2019)
-Craig Robertson (UFA) - Gotta keep him.
-Manti Te'o (UFA) - I'd take him if for the right price.
-Vince Biegel - 645 k (2019)
-Darnell Sankey - 570 k (2019)

CB(5) - Assuming that we re-sign PJ...I'm not worried about the slot. I'll take our starting guys on the outside, but we really need a backup on the outside.
-Marshon Lattimore - 4.188 mil (2020) 5th Year Option...Good value contract.
-Eli Apple - 2.516 mil (2019) 5th Year Option...Good value contract.
-Patrick Robinson - 5.35 mil (2021) He needs to prove that he's worth the money.
-P.J. Williams (UFA) - I'll take him for the right price.
-Ken Crawley (RFA)
-Justin Hardee - 645 k (2019)
-Josh Robinson (UFA)
-Chris Campbell - 495 k (2020)

S(3) - I like our starting 2 guys more than most on this board.
-Marcus Williams - 1.701 mil (2020) I think he has a bounce-back year in 2019.
-Vonn Bell - 1.263 mil (2019) Good value contract
-Chris Banjo (UFA) - Gotta keep him.
-J.T. Gray - 570 k (2019)
-Rickey Jefferson(ERFA)

Here are the transactions from the last month or 2

Too soon.
Let it settle.
I'm still pissed about not getting to play in the super bowl.

The only relief was the rams looking shite but it almost makes it worse because I honestly think we beat the pats

What does Hooman do? Legit question... I'm not trolling. I assume he's a fantastic blocker, but is that enough?

I guess. I realize that I'm in the minority, but it took me a week to get over it.

I'm not trying to piss people off. I'll give it another 2-3 weeks I suppose.

Very good blocker around the LOS (except on the perimeter). He can also line up at FB & do a respectable job.

Thought I heard the L.A. sports radio guys say that Suh was a guy the Rams would likely not be able to keep. Did they make a one year deal with him? If so, we should kick those tires again. He did his job, the offense didn't. Come play with Brees, he won't let you down in the biggest game of the year.

Yes, Suh was on a 1 year deal. I don't know if we can afford him.

Suh was a ghost in the regular season. I'd rather Gerald McCoy.

Well, either way, seems like we need another sure thing in the interior.

Drew Brees is worth every penny he has been paid.

However, one more big paycheck makes no sense.

At this point, it's playing for legacy.

It would have been a resume topper to say you beat Peyton Manning and Tom Brady in Superbowls.

The NFL made sure it did not happen.

To win another Superbowl at this point, a pay cut to maximize even better personnel for the team makes sense.

I'm still pissed too but now that the Rantards are gone it's great seeing these posts again.

Exactly. I'm sure Brees will understand this...hopefully he can convince his agent of this.

Yep. This is exactly the time. Free agency starts in 5 weeks.

I realize people are stilled pissed, but we're still going to play in 2019. You can't delay the inevitable. Personally, I think 2019 is our year.

Yep!

I hope we resign MI, find a way to move some money around on Brees, get a #2 WR, #2 Safety, #1 TE, backup CB and dline help.

If the agent agrees to the pay cut, can a huge bonus be written in for a Superbowl victory?
