Ah.
I don't know if my little heart could handle if anything happened to Cooks.

Btw, i'm loving that Stephone Anthony continues to run with the 1's. I loved the pick from the beginning, and it looks like he's taking full advantage of the shot he's been given.

Nobody was a bigger Anthony fan than me during draft. Given our roster, it would be a travesty had he not come in and immediately taken reigns. Being an inside backer, i'll hold off for some gametime footage before i raise my expectations too much. Definitely excited about all the new faces in the LB group.

I like the guy who said we should have picked a guard because "Evans is done"... like it's a fact, based on three days of practice.

I'm still hoping he isn't done, but it isn't based on 3 days of practice. It's based on the last 2 years and 3 days of practice. I hope that I'm wrong, but Evans looks like his best days are behind him. Some guys bodies just break down.

Actually I wasn't talking about you. You've been talking about Evans in a much more measured "I'm worried" sort of way.
I just went and found what I was referencing and it's the same guy Melvin called out for this comment.
First of all, we have no way of knowing RIGHT NOW if he's done, much less during the draft.

sounds like the offense really owned that D in red zone drills today. I wonder how Evans did?

Sean Kelley's Takeaways
1. The tight end position group may be thin right now, but Benjamin Watson is taking a hold of the lead role. He showed well with several TD catches in red zone periods and is a solid run blocker as well. Free agent signee Orson Charles figures in a supporting role as of now.
2. Like many, maybe I take Drew Brees for granted. Thursday I was reminded how good he is. The franchise QB was dynamite in the red zone. In one period, Brees connected on TD passes to Willie Snead, Mark Ingram, and Watson. Bang. Bang. Bang.
3. Size matters. Watching Marques Colston and Seantavious Jones use their size and length to make grabs in the close quarters of the red zone reminds me of this. A good day for both.
4. Tim Hightower is one of the bigger running backs in Saints camp. He looked strong and scored Thursday in the red zone team periods. John Deshazier of NewOrleansSaints.com smartly stated that Hightower may have a Mike Bell-type of role on this team. He could be valuable in the red zone and a closer in game-ending run situations.
