I do agree with that. The process and silence is just frustrating. I do think him being out of shape may have contributed to his injury.

Apparently, Kenrich missed practice today because his son was just born, so Gentry didn't know how his ankle is doing today at practice.

I'm guessing whatever Zion is doing over there he looks good doing it? Shamit quote tweeted some writer named Angie Smith who was at the Pels practice facility today:

Also, Pels fans don't need to be worried about Zion. After what I saw today, the only people who need to worry are the rest of the league

Yes I saw that.
The only thing that could be referencing is either him dunking, which I doubt he is doing yet, or him shooting, which we know he is doing.

I'm going to choose to believe he nailed 20 thirty footers in a row. There's no proof, so no one can tell me I'm wrong.

As much as that tweet makes me hopeful, it should be taken with a grain of salt.
Angie Thomas is a nola born and raised writer/film producer. She’s just a regular person, not a sports reporter.

The hope is that is Griffin realizes that he has overpromised and underdelivered to fans this year, and that Zion will be playing soon and that he's better than ever (maybe he's been on a diet while rehabbing), and we aren't getting a new timetable now because Griffin realizes his mistake and knows that customer happiness comes when you underpromise and overdeliver.

Gentry just said that he doesn't know if Kenrich or Favors will be back for the Suns game tomorrow.

Griff looks like he was another NBA con job on NOLA. When you step back and realize that LeBron was the reason the Cavs won NOT Griff, Pelican fans got sold total trash again.

People are still too scarred from the past decade of the Pels organization. They assume the absolute worst and probably will until a few years straight of winning basketball.

Andrew Lopez tweet:

Regarding Zion Williamson, the Pelicans are taking the opportunity to get him completely right physically -- weight, conditioning & bio-mechanics -- before returning him to the court. The meniscus tear was relatively minor. The Pels are taking a long-term, big-picture approach.

It is frustrating as frick for us fans, especially with all of the secrecy, but let's be honest...
That's the right approach.
(also I think that deserves its own thread as a lot of people won't see this. Go ahead and start it)

I agree, but my question is: why didn't they do this between the summer league and the start of the preseason games?
Posted on 12/6/19 at 10:09 am to GOP_Tiger
I believe they did, and I know they tried to work with him extensively on conditioning.
Its obvious at this point that they believe it was not enough and are taking more time and different approaches here.
