Team really needs to get that FT% higher overall.

He played poorly on offense but his defense was pretty solid, finishing the game with a block to seal it. Also, he had 7 assists. Still contributed well even in a very off night for him. Whatever though, it's his first game in several months so I'll take it in a Win.

Not sure what you're trying to do here.

Your star player who is out for a vengeance should be scoring more than 16 points on 15 shots.

His second half was nice. But we need more from him if this team is serious.

ESPN actually gave credit to Herb for the block cause he poked it loose first. Still a great play by Zion to leave no doubts. Herb is a beast.

This was like only his 28th time shooting under 50% in his career. Like 10 of them happened last season also.

If there is one aspect of Zion’s game you shouldn’t worry about it, it’s his offense.

For him to come out and play the defense he played tonight, that’s magical. We will win a WHOLE lot of games with him playing like this.

Show that he can affect the game in many other ways when his shot isn't falling?

You're miserable

Zion barely practice with the team this week. Solid first game back from being sick. The whole team missed good looks until the second half. They did the same crap Wednesday. They keep getting great looks which is promising.

The thing I appreciated about Zion tonight was he was active on weak side help blocks and rebounds

When he’s out of shape, he doesn’t do that. So he must be in pretty reasonable shape and have a healthy winning mindset.

He just needs to get his touch around the rim back (which he will).

Sure.

His play in the first half played a part in why it was close in the second half.

His play in the second half played a part in why we won.

He definitely settled down after a very poor start.

Zion simply couldn't get the ball to drop, including FTs. He did have 3 or 4 stupid drives where it wasn't likely that he'd get off a good shot, but he's usually pretty damn good at pulling those stupid drives off.

Other than that, he looked great in other aspects of the game. With our undersized lineup, he knew he had to be aggressive with rebounds, and he was (11 total). 7 assists to 1 TO, a steal, and 4 blocks are pretty impressive.

Yep.

And here's the thing, it's year 6 for Zion and he's supposed to be our undisputed alpha. I'm way over giving him credit for hustling for a half.

In the grand scheme of what we've seen from him as a player and what we know he can be, tonight was a mediocre game from him.

I didn’t try anything, you kept bringing up real life and I let you know you wouldn’t act like that in front of me cause you’d know better when you don’t have a screen to hide behind. I hope this is just your internet persona and you don’t actually suck that bad in real life. All best.
