Culture is going to be the most valuable asset that any business can have in the medium to long term future. I’ve seen it in the business world. I’ve seen it in my household. I’m seeing it now with the Pelicans. This is good stuff and I’m all aboard.

Zion is from Spartanburg, SC, and the metro area of that county has a population of 180,000. I think that it's a lot easier to keep someone in New Orleans long term if they grew up in a smaller city.
Also, someone like him who grew up in the South is going to be a lot more comfortable in New Orleans than a lot of other places.

I don't think it was. I think it was spontaneous and if marketing people are smart they use it to their advantage.
Whatever shoe company Zion signs with should do a remake of the David Bowie Let's Dance video featuring Zion's new red shoes. It would work perfectly. Than the Pelicans use the LEt's Dance soundbite as the sound they play in the arena after Zion makes FTs

I mean, we know for a fact that Kevin Garnett at least attempted a marketing slogan immediately after he won his first and only NBA championship. It's not that farfetched.
I'm not saying that's what this was. Just wouldn't surprise me at all if it was though.
