I’m sorry but we are paying him max money and he’s still a young guy. There’s no reason he can’t or shouldn’t play back to back games right now in his career. You see Jonas never miss a game and he’s 30. It would make a good impression on an already scary ascending team. We are as deep as anyone in the NBA.

Willie previously said the plan is for him to play tonight and he is not on the injury report as of this morning.

And if he gets a major injury, no one would care about any of that. I do like how the pels controlled his minutes last night. Thats the way to do it if he plays back to back.

By the way when we were top of the west last year, he played a back to back and then got injured. At that point no one cared about him making a major impression, more like people knew the ceiling of that team became extremely limited.

With the next game on Monday a knockout tournament game as the 3rd game in 4 days this is a very limited example of a game I'd be okay with Zion sitting.

Now that the team is pretty healthy, it's no longer a big deal. We have lineup flexibility and the talent to allow Zion to be more of a passer and let him pick his spots better without being forced to barrel into the paint on the majority of his possessions. Our stars won't have to work as hard with Trey and CJ back and the spacing will be optimal.

Point Zion to Trey for a 3 is my current happy place. Those two are such a complimentary pair it’s awesome when they are going together.

He didn’t get hurt last year on a back to back, and it certainly wasnt a back to back that caused him to reinjure it. Can we stop waiving this fake flag? He could sit out every back to back all season and still get injured. All sitting out does is guarantee more missed games.

That wasn't a B2b.

Then I’ll own that one but I was almost positive it was.

It was 3 games in 4 days.

12/30 - Sixers
12/31 - @Memphis
1/2 - @Sixers where the injury happened.

Still a very rough stretch

Heard that, but based on him playing 26 min last night… I think this is one he’s primed to play in and maybe even planned to try to manage workload last night (willie). Every starter played over 30 min.

Plus new years as well. Not like all these young guys go straight to bed and get their rest. I’m sure Zion celebrated new years as well. And then who knows with lack of rest and playing that many games in few days added to him getting the injury.

He pulled a hamstring playing basketball. That’s what happened. This need for blaming it on something is such crazy behavior. If he plays basketball, he risks injury. Unless we are talking about sitting him forever, injury will be a risk.

Where did you get your degree in medicine?

He has a unique body type and isn’t the most conditioned athlete. Its not as simple as just pulling a hamstring. You’re treating him like his body type and conditioning aren’t major issues that factor into this.

We can win without him against Chicago.

I’m not making the medical diagnosis's. The ones saying he has a higher chance of injury playing back to backs, or three out of four etc etc. Theres no science backing any of that up.

Without a medical degree, I can say he will miss games if he sits out. That parts pretty easy.

We haven’t won much without him, nor in the games after he sits out. Of course including two against Utah without their best player.
