Didn’t Durant only played like 5 more games than Zion over the past 3 seasons??

That quite doesn’t meet the standard of “being by far more reliable”.

Who was more reliable in the last 3 years? The beat up old guy was by far.

KD averaged 30 games played per season the last 3 years.

Zion averaged 28 games played per season the last 3 years.

Kd has one.

Zion even has less matches than KD...
We keep Zion, cool but he must play.
It's good if Zion does 55 games+ per season

I would do zion + graham + temple + kira for kd.

nets give back a 2024 2nd no protection.

my list of pels attempts to get money even.

no 4 firsts.
that was dumb by novice gm Minnesota.

they get zion.
pels get kd.

kd
ingram
valunciunas
cj
herb

trey
nance
alvorado
hayes
rookie d d

I am not sure the Pels can trade Zion because of the CBA.
When Phoenix extended Ayton it was reported that he was not eligible to be traded until January 15 or one year after signing his extension.
The same CBA rule probably applies to Zion

I just can’t fathom how some people can be so damn oblivious.

Don’t care for KD but he is proven top 5 players and as much as all you biased pels fans want to admit Zion is still a huge wild card.

KD is a proven top player in the Anthony Davis sense: he can neither lead nor carry a team.

That’s dumb.

You don’t trade for him for many many reasons. But that’s dumb.

You talking about the guy that won finals MVP twice and was the best player on a historic team?

He’s not a natural leader I’ll give you that, but he can absolutely carry a team and be its best player.

You can’t have 2 players on rookie max extensions if at least one of them was acquired in a trade. Ben Simmons is on a rookie max extension, so the Nets can’t trade for Zion unless they trade Simmons.

He carried the defending champs who brought back basically their entire team? Think they were carrying themselves pretty fine before he got there

They actually lost the finals before he came aboard. Cavs were the reigning champions the year he joined the Warriors

And just the other week Draymond basically said they needed KD to beat the Cavs going forward.

quote:

The outside world [is saying], ‘He’s joining a team that won 73 games, he’s joining the team that already won a championship’ and blah, blah, blah.

“But the reality is, I don’t think that team wins another championship if Kevin doesn’t come … We would not have beat the Cavs coming back around without Kevin.”

While true, they won 73 games and were tied up with 1 minute to go in the 4th quarter of game 7 of the Finals.

They weren't a KD away from a title. I would say they were 1 above average role player away from a title but really they were just 1 play away from a title.

They were lucky to win in 15 due to injuries. Never would’ve happened without Kyrie going down in OT in Game 1. A series the Cavs were up 2-1.

That Cavs team is underrated defensively but also, you need an iso wing scorer to win in the NBA. 15 was an outlier.

Without that, the Warriors would be a “regular season” team until Durant joined.

That teams role players -Barbosa, Bogut, Iggy and Livingston were aging rapidly.

Now it’s the inverse..which is why this Warriors team is going to be so interesting going forward.

Harrison Barnes shot 4/40 in the last 3 games and they were down their starting center and Steph and iggy were banged up to hell. Never mind if green doesn’t get suspended they win in 5. Those teams werent particularly close CLE got ALL of the breaks.

Personally think green may be being a bit too nice in his praise, but the fact is KD was the best player on a historic team both years they won. And the best player when it mattered most. NBA became a joke those two seasons cause you knew if that team was anywhere close to healthy they were going to beat anyone.

Hell KD was probably the best player on the planet those two seasons. AD had one truly elite bubble playoff run. They really aren’t in the same category of superstar imo. KD might go down top 20 all time and Dwight should have AD’s place in the top 75 at this point.

HOU was up 3-2 on them when CP got hurt and KD Steph Klay and Green were all perfectly healthy. The idea that they were unbeatable is a myth.

Of course you’d make this about the Rockets lol….James Harden and Chris Paul choke so much they could start an Onlyfans

So in no way am I convinced they would have pulled out that series.

CP likely just saved himself the embarrassment that season since James Harden, as always, was already playing like he was ready to get to the off-season and start hitting up the strip clubs.
