I guarantee your little dude never came within 17 shots of a best out of 20 shooting contest with an NBA player.

Your little guy also never shot 36% in college or a single time in the pros, as Zion already has done.

36% on 19 shots.

My 13 year old would beat Zion in a 3 point shooting contest at a practice, as would I.

Wellhe's never had a shooting contest with an NBA player, but...

One would only need to make 3 out of 20 even if you assume the NBA player makes all 20, so I don't think you really have any clue what you're talking about here

"36% in college" is actually apples to biscuits and not remotely relevant to this discussion/comparison, your'e guilty of the thing you tried to say I was doing lol.

It IS an even comparison to compare how long it takes a 15 year old to put up 3 pointers compared to an NBA player. In fact, the argument I am making is the NBA player should do it much quicker, which means Zion is spending an extra 5-10 minutes, and we're acting like this is some amazing news.

Wait, you think it's impossible to get up 300 shots in 30 minutes?

A couple of you bros are really showing yourself for having never stepped on a basketball court in your lives but talking super confidently like you know what you're talking about.

These guys are simultaneously arguing Zion can make a bunch of 3s in practice, but it also takes him a really long time to make a bunch of 3s in practice

Lol. Bro you know damn well lil dawg ain't beating an NBA player in a jump shot contest. You know damn well it's not happening. Draymond would out shoot lol mans lol.

Zion has always had a beautiful jump shot, always got a lot of lift and the flick of his wrist is clean as hell. He's hit about 5-6 MJ type of fadeaways from the post, he's shot less than 10 of those in his career.

Same as his mid range pull ups. He makes damn near 45-50% of them. Shot charts don't tell the whole story because floaters and hook shots are still counted if they were attempted from that spot. He makes them when he takes them. He took about 30 middies last year and hit about 17 of them.

He consistently makes his spot up 3's but he's taken less than 50 in his career. He's never taken a single 3 off the dribble (closest one was his first game when he jab stepped to create space).

I know my shite bro lol. I might be off a bit on those numbers but if you have watched Zion his whole career you know dude has always been able to hit jumpers. This is a fact. If we had evidence of him missing a bunch in a single game or a bunch in a week or a bunch in a month then you could justify questioning his ability.

There is no point in his career where anything close to this has happened. He hasn't even attempted 5 two handed jump shots EVER in a game. He's taken 3 threes in a game twice in his whole career bro.

Until we get actual proof that he can't shoot, there is no point in dissing him about it. The numbers tell you that he barely ever takes any, and that is a fact.

Nothing you can point to can prove he can't shoot. Period.

I lived based on facts and I never have strong opinions on things that can't be proven or has yet to be proven.

Like......... Imagine if I lost a race for a position at my job, but instead of accepting the loss, I tell the whole staff that the winner had votes from people that didn't work here.

Then ask me for proof at the board that makes the official decision, but I don't have a single drop of proof.

Now imagine me not having a single drop of proof 61 times, but the only answer I have is "the race was rigged".

Imagine something like that.

You don't want to be that person bro

Who TF ever said anything like that?

I live in reality dawg. Your lil 15 year old is not beating an NBA player shooting jump shots. Period. You know this and I know this. But if it makes you feel better or more confident in yourself (based on your nephew lol) the. Go ahead bro. I completely understand cornball dudes needing to find confidence online.

I do know this which is why I obviously never said it, you have no idea what you're talking about.

Go read it again, comprehend it, then try again.

You most certainly do not "completely understand" a single thing I said, but you're free to pretend to you do.

When you're ready to come back and admit you were wrong, I'll be here waiting.

Here you go dumbass. Some actual factual stats.

quote:

Zion has always had a beautiful jump shot, always got a lot of lift and the flick of his wrist is clean as hell.

His jumpshot is ugly, as is his release. There is no consistency in it, which is why he's a bad shooter.
He took 139 jump shots last year, made less than 40% of them.

quote:

He's hit about 5-6 MJ type of fadeaways from the post, he's shot less than 10 of those in his career.

Well he shot 10 of them last year, made 3 of them. That's 30% bro.

quote:

Same as his mid range pull ups. He makes damn near 45-50% of them.

He was 13-26 on pull up mid range jumpshots last year. That's 50% bro. good job pulling that one of out of your arse.

quote:

Shot charts don't tell the whole story because floaters and hook shots are still counted if they were attempted from that spot.

well there's this thing called stats that are tracked, that can be very specific. Maybe give them a look LINK

quote:

He took about 30 middies last year and hit about 17 of them.

He took 12. thats 1 attempt every 5 games played. he made 6 of them.

quote:

He consistently makes his spot up 3's but he's taken less than 50 in his career.

If only there were a way to look up catch and shoot 3's.....
He's taken 102 threes in his career, making just 32% of them. If you take out the 4/4 in his first game, he's a 29% 3 point shooter, 7 years into his career. How pathetic that your first game shooting from 3 makes up 12% of your total made 3's in your 7 year career.
It's cute you think only half of his threes have been catch and shoot.

When nba.com gets there shite together, you can very easily look up his catch and shoot percentages right here LINK, but for whatever reason it's not working at the moment. I can guarantee you he's a lot closer to 90% of his attempts being C&S as opposed to your retarded claim of 50%.

quote:

He's never taken a single 3 off the dribble (closest one was his first game when he jab stepped to create space).

So let me get this straight, bro. According to your "stats", only half of Zion's 3 point attempts have been spot up (catch and shoot), but he's only taken maybe 1 three off the dribble? You care to explain what kind of shot he took the other 50 times he wasn't spotting up?

quote:

I know my shite bro lol.

quote:

I might be off a bit on those numbers but if you have watched Zion his whole career you know dude has always been able to hit jumpers. This is a fact. If we had evidence of him missing a bunch in a single game or a bunch in a week or a bunch in a month then you could justify questioning his ability.

You mean if we had stats? Stats that exist over a 7 year career to show what kind of shooter he's been? man it sucks we don't have any of those bro.

quote:

He hasn't even attempted 5 two handed jump shots EVER in a game.

well i hope he hasn't attempted any 2 handed jump shots.

quote:

He's taken 3 threes in a game twice in his whole career bro.

it's just hilarious bro. You do realize there's actual stats we can look up. You can't just make shite up.
He did it 3 times in just his first 2 years, and 2 more since. Since you don't know how to add, let me handle that for you. That's 5 times he's shot at least 3 threes in a game.

quote:

Until we get actual proof that he can't shoot, there is no point in dissing him about it. The numbers tell you that he barely ever takes any, and that is a fact.

Nothing you can point to can prove he can't shoot. Period.

I lived based on facts and I never have strong opinions on things that can't be proven or has yet to be proven.

The dude can't shoot.
Here's a fun stat, not one of those made up ones but an actual stat.
Last year he shot 70% from inside the restricted area. that accounted for 68% of his total attempts on the year.
From inside the paint, not including inside the restricted area, he shot 38%, and that accounted for 30% of his shots.
That means he took a grand total of 16 shots outside of the paint last year, less than 2% of his total shots.

When you look at it that way, the fatass should only be taking layups, or his funky arse 3, b/c his 32% from 3 is a more efficient shot than any other shot he takes unless he's inside the restricted area.

He's also a sub 70% career FT shooter.
I will give him props though as the last 2 years he's been much better in the clutch from the FT line. He was 78% last year and 89% the year before.
