no disrespect to NAW, but he hasnt done shite while hayes ranks in the top 5 of all rookies in most counting and advanced stats

NAW in and Hayes out is pretty wild.
Guess it's more to do with the US vs the World then just who is most deserving though.
Selfishly, I'm all for Zion sitting out but if he wants to play, let the dude play.

Even with the small sample size Zion is clearly our best rookie. We don’t need to see 50 games of Zion to know that. Hayes should be on the all rookie squad though.

hayes is clearly one of the 5 best US rookies. whether he's one of the 5 best 2nd year players too i guess is debateable

in terms of rookies alone, Hayes & Brandon Clarke/Hachimura is your undisputed starting front court
but fwiw all 5 of of the USA front court players (4 excluding Zion) play 10 more mpg than Hayes. still the Pels have 2 out of 10 rookies in the rising stars team. not bad

Luka. I get it he is in his second year, but if you're in discussions about one of the best players in the league already. Are you a rising star? Or are you already a star? He's the all star team too.

I’m not suprised. It’s was either going to be Hayes or Zion. That made it an easy decision for them.
