I see you posting, but I don't see you making any good points to dispute what I said, so...go for it...

I think you're confusing what he was "saying" on the bench/sideline vs what he was actually doing on the court.

I think it's easy to decipher a dude who is hurt who can't do his normal thing vs a dude who just gave up and wasn't really trying out there, and it seemed pretty obvious imo that it was the latter from BI.

You admitted you put more stock in what one says and less in what one does.

That's ok, that is your opinion and you can have that opinion.

I'll just disagree with that every time. The words are entirely irrelevant, the actions are all that matters.

You probably believed Zion when he talked about his revenge season too, you do you!

For sure, it really just comes down to expectations for a certain Husky fellow for a lot of you all. Stars so bright in your eyes for Zion clouded all reasonable judgement for anything else, including BI. I'm just browsing all the post about him in this thread that are just as ridiculous as when he was here. i.e. "he's a fourth option on the other team now that better suits him" when he actually is leading the other team in scoring. He was the leading scorer here too except now the other star there is actually pulling his weight. Shell, its just a basketball vs. internets thing.

That's where you lost me.

1. My thoughts on BI have nothing to do with Zion.

2. I've been done with Zion for 2+ years now, so explain to me what YOU think My expectations are for that husky fellow before we continue....

What do you think my expectations are for Zion?

You got the wrong dude.

In reality, it's just a you completely missing the mark on what you think my assessment of Zion is.

For sure, give you a lot of grace because you did come around two or so years ago. But before that OY Vey ... Some of us just saw things for what they were long before that. Remember when they said we have to get off Jrue because he didn't fit Zion's timeline? Jrue has gone on to be a two time champ and All star --> Zion expectations

No hate here toward BI at all. I don’t think he is a #1 that you can build around.

You probably believed Zion when he talked about his revenge season too, you do you!

His actions were he rushed his rehab to play in the series. That's a pretty big thing you are ignoring on this. Then he made a scene because they wouldn't let him back out there. You can choose to make your own narrative about it. His actions were that from all accounts he was a gym rat here who was constantly working on his craft and that's probably why guys like Jose and Naji who had to scrap their way into the league respected him. Look, BI wasn't a perfect player; was far from a vocal leader; had a questionable, at best, shot profile; and never reached the ceiling people thought he had when he was drafted. But some of the narrative that got pushed after that series has been pretty overboard.

And no, I haven't believed a word Zion has said or the organization has said in 3-4 years. I can't stand Zion and wanted to sell high on him after that season.

I literally pointed out that out, you just ignored it because it doesn't fit your narrative.

And with that, I won't read the rest of your post if you won't read my posts and just make up stuff you believe in your head even if it's the exact opposite of what I actually posted in this thread.

For sure, I'm pro statistical analysis but everyone can't be the spokesman. You make a great point with the +- . First blush is to use that as a player barometer and your example shows the foolishness of the metric used in that context. Practically, a lot of teams use their star(s) to carry bench lineups so they don't tank the game while also providing rest for other starters. There are levels to the game.

I still can't believe they got so little for him.

There is nothing to miss about BI, he’s putting up almost identical stats to what he did here. He’s a good NBA player, but no better than a number 3 option on a real contending team. Very replaceable player, but I do wish we had gotten more for him when we traded him

Oh yeah? Who’d we replace his shot creation with?
