The good thing about blowing a build around 2 generational talents in a row is you have a lot of mistakes to learn from.

Would you trade that pick for Capela? Just throwing out a name. But he would be the kinda player I would want. Under 25 and 3 years left on contract.

Actually, I’ve been informed by a couple of posters that Zion is a sure thing in the NBA. Hmmm, I don’t know, to be honest.

ETA: I personally think he’ll at least be a solid contributor. But right now, he looks like a man among boys.

Small market teams have to gamble to be successful. It's the nature of the league.

Zion is F***** amazing. He checks all the boxes.

Watching him tonight, there’s no doubt he is a special talent. Heart, energy, and hustle to go with all that altheticism and talent. He got that peskiness about him on the defensive end that reminds me of Paul in the passing lanes. Kid is impressive. I have no doubt in my mind a package with Zion should be very attractive.

And guess what? He seems like a really good kid and was quoted lately saying he doesnt care who drafts him or where he goes, he just wants to go there and help them. Hes the kind of star your franchise can build around.

He'll still be this in the NBA.

He'll be the 2nd heaviest player in the entire league and equally athletic(if not more) than peak Blake Griffin.

What if we land pick 1 and Knicks get pick 2?

Zion and Morant v Zion and Tatum

I believe as of today, we are the 8th worse team record wise. This should give us a 6% chance of getting the number one draft pick

I would find the GMs who believe that the second I do the Celtics pick. I identify young guys around the league I already like and see if I can get them for the pick. If I make a list of 8, I would bet at least 2 of those GMs would do it.

If we end up with this pick, I would be curious as to what young players you think we could get for the pick.

It's like when you have that quarterly job review with your line manager and you discuss things you need to work on, but this is on a smaller scale
