But without the hopes of ever seeing a title. The guy is a ra ra coach but is terrible. He’s got the time management skills of Les Miles. Calls a time out after a tv timeout in the third fricking quarter. We then have zero timeouts to advance the ball at the end of the game.
He can’t figure out how to draw an inbounds play. They are literally drawing it on the fly. Don’t you have set plays to practice at…um…practice? Then they come out with half arse picks and lob it into BI….twice. Same shite we did in Min that we turned the ball over at the end of the game. OKC runs a stack on a must needed inbound play in the fourth and lo and behold SGA comes out the back side with a layup.
We will not win by coaching. We will have to outplay every team to win.

did he ever call a good timeout all year?
I feel like he called timeouts after we started to regain momentum instead of during the other teams momentum

In the third he waited to call a timeout when they finally took the lead not during the 8-0 run prior to taking the lead. He’s horrible.

Coach Green definitely has a lot of homework this summer, but I believe he can make it work. Heart and determination go a long way but doesn't replace basketball acumen. I believe the team got greedy with the hot start and sacrificed development of players and it bit them in the end.
CJ and Nance's play (I know, they were injured) really cost this team the last week and nailed the coffin in a stressed out season. Team had figured out that TM3 was our second option and that we should play through Val. Coach Green allowed CJ to get away from that and Nance should have been pulled. Team had little optimism and no juice. Coach has to recognize that and make the correct adjustments.

He clearly isn’t the answer but I’m afraid he will be back next year.
