OP doesn’t like per 36 stats but uses 2k to form his argument
I bet you suck at 2k, too.

It’s ok, either the Pels move him to PF or dump him. Either way, at least when it happens I can look back at this thread and see how wrong all of you are.
Why does that second option make you right?
What if the dumb him, he goes somewhere else and sucks as PF?
What if Okafor becomes our starting C Zion comes back and is a 20-10 PF and Ingram keeps dominating at SF?
Would that make your BS proposed lineups as fricking stupid as they look?

Ok, I started this thread as a “move Favors to PF” thread. I gave my reasoning and caught a lot of flack for it.
Yet, I have not seen anyone give me any reasoning on why he should stay at C.
So why, should he stay at C for the Pelicans?

He can’t shoot threes and putting a PF and Center out there who can’t shoot threes is a hellacious idea.
Brining Zion (when healthy) off the bench is a fricking terrible idea.
Any line up with Zion, Favors and Okafor playing at the same time dumb.
He also played center in Utah.

David West role, or were you not a fan of New Orleans basketball when he was there?
Still not good enough reasoning for him to stay at C....
Why should he play C for the Pels?

Favors isn't West.
He’s no where near as good a scorer outside the paint.
He’s big enough to be a small ball center and basically con only score inside the paint.

I’m still not seeing why he should play C for the Pelicans.
Everyone is quick to call me stupid and idiot but don’t want to give a reason why he should be the C.
What are the positive benefits do the Pels receive with Favors at Center?
Why should he stay at C?

The whole article is about how he’s upped his overall game and has played well at PF for 5 games.
But he returned to Center when Enes Kanter came back and played realy well against The Warriors.
He’s in a team with multiple big men who can’t score outside the paint and you want to bench a stretch 4 for another lane clogger
You also want to bench the franchise player.

I see what you’re saying, but why should he stay at C for the Pelicans?
Even if you have Favors come off the bench, he should play PF.
Why should he be C?

You have an extremely outdated view of positions in basketball.
Posted on 11/1/19 at 3:20 pm to Fun Bunch
Still no reasoning for Favors to play C..... I’m waiting.
Outdated view of positions, let me guess you just want a PF to sit in the corner for a 3 ball.....psh.

Read the article you posted
His coach basically calls
Him a 4.5 and states that it depends on integration with the other players
Zion isn’t coming off the bench and how do you play Favors at PF and Okafor at C with Zion in the lineup?

Your only reason to ply him at PF is because he sometimes played there in Utah.
And he can be a “David West” type PF even though DW has a much better jump ahot

Look @ his stats with the Jazz when he played center with Gobert on the bench and look at him at PF. That will answer your question. Favors also has no midrange game. He’s better under the rim.
Posted on 11/1/19 at 3:28 pm to TwoTimeTiger
You can have Favors come off the bench then, I’ll sacrifice that and you will play him as backup PF.
But I’m still not seeing why he should play C for the Pelicans.
Where are all the people calling me an idiot for their reasoning for him to play C?

most consider him a F/C, which the F role comes first.
This right here lol. It’s listed in numerical order by position haha. Not positional preference. There is no Center-Forward.

But WHY SHOULD HE PLAY CENTER FOR THIS PELICANS TEAM?

He is undersized at C and gets abused, plus it’s putting more pressure on him which is causing health issues.
Which team did we lose to has a bigger center who abused him?
