Oh wait. Good thing we wasted 12 games with a loser Head Coach with such a deep class coming out.

Serious question:

If we didn't make the trade and ended up with another mid impact player like Missi at #23 and then drafted a player that's averaging about what Queen is avg in 26' would you be happy?

The only thing that changed is that we lost out on a #23 pick that probably wouldn't be very impactful anyway. Missi is already more valuable as a future pick than a 25+min player.

The bigger problem trading for Queen is essentially making the case that not only was he the highest rated player on your board last year, but you also would need to think he’s the best player in the 2026 draft since we likely traded away a top 3 pick for him.

2026 is supposed to be a stacked draft

In one of the brightest days in the team history (i believe it's the same enthusiasm as when we won the lotteries) you are bringing again for 1838374649 time the draft topic.
Just enjoy the day and see what will happen with an actual coach.

Weren’t the Pelicans supposed to get a top 4 pick last year? The lottery is rigged…they coulda dropped to 6 again next year.

The season is early. Last year we finished 4th and drafted 7th. frick we could finish 7th, draft 5th, and Queen ends up 6 on a re draft and guess what? That's a win.

The people who have this pessimistic view of the trade are hypocrites to the max because y'all want to take a pessimistic view of the trade but ignore a whole pessimistic history of garbage arse picks that would contradict y'alls opinions.

It actually cracks me up. So pessimistic about losing out on picks and yet not a single one of you has the balls to go "but what if its Jaxson Hayes/ Kira" "maybe getting a solid player over a spot holding draft pick is a good thing"

Being pessimistic while also choosing what you want to be pessimistic about is a pussy arse move.

The same people who trash our past drafts now think we hit on all of our picks? That's fricking rich.

This 100% what I've been saying! If Queen and Fears both look like good players, which they do then that bird in hand is a win! So many prospects don't pan out. These two are both super young as well.

The 26 draft is incredible
You didn’t even need to win the lottery
The top ten is gonna be littered with can’t miss prospects

I feel like every year they say the next upcoming draft is stacked with can’t miss prospects.

Every single year. Same with NFL and college football recruiting.
