There are like 20 people in the country who really care...who will be "roasting them"

Also,do you want your GM trying to win press.conferences or basketball games?

I guess it depends on what they did to make the hypothetical Saric + 3 and D SG happen. If you have a solid starting 5 I don't think people care much about trading bench players as long as it's not a straight dump. But I also think Niko/Hill is a tough trade to find a win win situation. Presumably you want to get back comparable but lower salary bench players. In theory we'd probably be talking about a move like Niko/Hill for Justin Holiday/RoLo, maybe with Niko going to a 3rd team for a 1st. But expiring guys don't fetch 1sts anymore.

+1

i'd move Mirotic to get Saric. younger, cheaper, better, and offers more positional flexibility

Mirotic has been fine. but after getting to watch him up close, i'm not nearly as high as many Pels fans seem to be on

You will be when his shooting reverts to the mean because he will be giving you the same good D, plus scoring at that point.

I can see the next two years playing out any number of ways, but if I was the GM - I would always look at it like I only have those three guys on my team. If I see someone who compliments them perfectly, I don't care that Hill or Moore or Rondo or whoever plays the same position. I get the guys who are ideal fits for those three

I see what you're saying. Is this something you've heard (Moore for Saric) or is this your dream offseason?

Yea I would love to get picks and get younger with the Niko/Solo combo but all I see would be something like our good ole friend Founier and say Simmons for Niko & Solo

Maybe then to can snag a pick from Orlando, maybe those 2nd rounders that Dell loves so much. But that'll be one of the most top-heavy lineups in the NBA. A good one, but very top heavy.

Or to combine those ideas. New Orleans helps facilitate Fournier to Philly to replace Redick, send Solo (preferably to us) or Mirotic (more appealing for them) to Orlando along with Ajinca, and get back Jonathon Simmons, Saric, and maybe Shelvon Mack

it's not about his shooting slump for me. it's his decision making- which just might be, in part, on the coaches telling everyone to shoot, shoot, shoot, and shoot some more to get the pace up.

also, based on his career numbers, the anamoly was his % this season in Chicago. my guess is he is regressing to something closer to his expected 3pt%

he tries on defense and he is willing to bang with bigger guys, but he gets targeted and killed in switches. i get why he is a good fit defensively, especially next to Davis, but i always prefer the quicker guys. just my personal preference

for example, i thnk they could expect good results playing Saric/Davis/Cousins together. i would not expect that w/ Mirotic

I hear Charlotte is open to trading Malik Monk. He hasn't done anything for them, they fired the GM who drafted him. We could likely get him for cheap, maybe a change of scenery is all he needs to get his game on track.

Cheap probably means free if you take back one of our many terrible contracts. If Jackson works out the team doesn’t need Monk. I think I’d give Jackson a chance to fail before I take on that kind of bad money to get a young guy with potential. The Pels aren’t in a position to make that kind of trade.

I agree my short list in FA for a combo guard is Iman Shumpert (if he opts out), Vince Carter, David Nwaba, Jeramy Grant, and Kyle Anderso

Nwaba will be back in Chicago

and Jerami Grant will be back in OKC and Kyle Anderson will probably be back in San Antonio. This was my short list lol, probability is another conversation entirely
