Welcome back. I look forward to your posts in your age 16 season.

MKG is the offensively inept lottery draft bust of his class, much like our guy Aminu. Aminu is a better player, which is scary.

MKG is still young as hell though. He was the youngest person in that draft class if I remember correctly.

Still I wouldn't want him. He's too similar to Aminu, and we'd have to give up WAY too much to get him.

Handle the ball and finish at the rim. They're equal defenders and shot blockers. Aminu's a better rebounder and a marginally better shooter.

Their shooting %s were almost identical at the rim

Aminu was better from 3-10'

MKG had more turnover per game as well.

Aminu averaged almost a steal more per game, 2.5 more rebounds

Of course, MKG comes in at a scorching 9ppg on 45% shooting... while Big Al only managed 7.7

70% of Aminu's shots at the rim were assisted. Only 56% of MKG's were. He's scoring more of penetration, whereas Aminu is playing of someone else making a play.

And, yeah, MKG had more turnovers per game, but his turnover rate was much lower. The raw number is higher because he handled the ball more often.

Okay, so weve determined MKG is a better penetrater than Aminu... I think ball handler is a stretch, evidenced by the fact that they share the same assist numbers, even when MKG "handles the ball at a higher rate"

In similar minutes Aminu has the edge in rebs, steals, FG%... MKG has a slight edge in points, and blocks

How does this equate to a "this cant be serious" thought about MKG being a better player than Aminu?

Because we've just laid out the case that they're pretty even already, not even factoring in that MKG just turned 20 and is one game into his sophomore season.

OK. So is it worth trading draft picks/players and paying more for a guy that is almost identical to the guy the Pelicans have already have?

MGK is making almost $5,000,000 this season and is scheduled to make more than $11,000,000 from 2014-2016. So far he isn't even close to deserving that contract.

Oh, and Aminu is only 23 years old.
