It's pretty rare for you to get much of return in a S&T. Remember we only gave up Ayon to get Ryno and Vasquez to S&T for Tyreke. What the Clippers got for CP3 was a pretty rare haul and probably only happened because Houston would have had to give up more to free up enough cap space to go after him. The Lakers would already have the cap space to go after Boogie. If the Pels would get a throw in for a Boogie/Randle S&T it'd probably be someone like Zubac, definitely not Kuzma or Ingram.

So basically we’d remain a 6-8 seed. Move us to the fricking east

Does anyone know if Shannon sharp has any connections in Lebron’s camp because he has brought up the pelicans twice this week talking about where Lebron might go. I know he’s done this before is he talking out of his arse or does he have any real info.

Highly highly unlikely. I would trust what Stephen A. said more than anyone at this point:

Warriors (I think this is just mentioned to lessen the blowback if he ends up in Houston)

Houston
Boston
Philadelphia
Cleveland

I think Miami and New Orleans are dark horses

Pels would have two first team all nba guys, one being Anthony frickin Davis.

I think Miami is a darkhorse given their unusual opening odds (20/1) for next season's championship, but I just have a difficult time seeing how they can rehsape that roster into a title contender with so few assets.

I do not think Lebron will entertain the Pels at all, but I will be happy to be proven wrong. Also watch out for if David Griffin gets hired for the 76'ers.

Chris Mannix and Shams Charania discuss Boogie's market in a podcast LINK

Bullet Points:

- It's going to be tough for Cousins to gauge his market before July 1. He's not at the top of the list for the Lakers or Mavs. If they do make offers Shams thinks it would only be 1-2 year deals.
- Shams saw him recently in Las Vegas and said he looked good. He's only 8-10 pounds over his playing weight which is good considering the injury.
- Mannix says he might prioritize keeping Rondo over Cousins. Shams talked about how big of a culture changer he was. Said Rondo and Jrue getting along really helped Holiday.

That's kind of interesting. More very well connected people saying there's not much of a market for Boogie and more people thinking the Pelicans might be better without him, or at least should choose Rondo over Boogie if it came to that. At this moment it sounds like Boogie has zero leverage. That could change in an instant if Dallas or the Lakers don't get their main targets, but for now at least, conditions appear to be in favor of the Pels.

boogie needs pels more than pels need boogie.
sucks for him but thems the facts

the only downside of a short deal here is that he pouts and causes trouble but honestly thats on AD, jrue & gentry to stamp that shite down. otherwise, hope hield and collins don't become stars and cut bait.

Lebron should come here. He won’t but he should.
Only way I’d root for him.

That was the same story Joel Meyers was spinning a couple weeks ago. He said 3/$75M for Boogie with a TO (I think), but he said that the most important thing was to focus on bringing Rondo back. He basically said the Boogie situation was going to play out how it does over time and the Pels need to focus on Rondo.
