Fellow pelicans it wasn't too long ago the only players we could get in the room with were ppl like Etwan Moore and the Solomon Hill types. The fact that out profile has risen to the point that we could be considered for a prime all time great and somewhat want to turn our noses up at him on one side laughable but on the other shows us we've come a long way as a franchise.

I somewhat agree altho I feel the only reason we are being brought up as a destination is because the media wanted to see Zion elsewhere (which isnt even possible now)

We are being linked with Durant because of our assets that we can offer for KD.

Nobody is turning their nose up at him, we’re turning our nose up at what it would TAKE to get him.

Not really wanting KD at the likely cost pretty much = the exact opposite of us missing it.

BINGO. I’m almost 99% sure New Orleans did not cross KD’s mind until ESPN shoved it down everyone’s throat.

and you are 100% right
he doesn’t want to come here

the only reason this is being discussed is that it would be a good trade for Brooklyn, and it’s Kevin Durant

That and we do have the most great assets but we need to save those assets to keep building through the draft and be able to have our stars under contract to be able to trade them ever if need be.

Not wanting to trade an 24 year old all star and 5 first round picks for a 34 year old all star is not the same as turning our noses up at them.
