I wouldn’t be mad if we traded for him but I don’t want us to get bent over in a trade either

Call me crazy, but I always felt like Westbrook was the alpha this team needed to pair with AD. But that’s in the past, so I’ll take a pass.

We don’t want him. I don’t know anyone that would want him except maybe Miami? Only team that could be willing to take that contract to pair Butler with another star.

Agreed 100%. I think that Jrue is going to be a great leader for our eager youngins, but he was too introverted to handle AD. Dealing for Westbrook would make sense if we still had AD and a healthy Boogie, but he would be an awful fit now.

When Chis Paul wanted out, I always thought Paul for Russ straight up would have been great for both teams. Paul would have been perfect with Durant.

They also still had Harden, and probably would have thought more about keeping him with that group. Paul, Durant, Harden, Ibaka, 100% wins a title at some point. Maybe even multiple titles.

As for Russ, I thought he needed to be in a Derrick Rose type situation, and I thought he was actually a better shooter, passer, and defender than Rose. The trade made sense for both teams.

Watch his games. Westbrook is overated, an a-hole, and completely on the decline. Also his shooting is going downhill. His game is not adjusting with the NBA. He is so ball dominant that he would destroy Gentry’s system if floor running, and selfless play.

Also, no one wants to be his teammate. PG left, Harden, KD. He is an extremely selfish player.

Westbrook Priorities:

1. Points, Boards, Assists
2. Getting Paid
3. Points, Boards, Assists
4. Points, Boards, Assists
5. Having fun his way
Last. Being a good teammate and Winning

When was his shooting ever uphill?

The worst shot selection of any player in the last decade.

He could be Dwyane Wade but just doesn’t get it

Explain how a player who's averaged a triple double in 4 seasons (3 straight) is overrated. Who else can do that? I'll wait

you wouldn't trade Lonzo and a couple first for a former MVP? kinda crazy

A declining player over 30 who makes over 40M a year? I wouldn’t take on that contract for free right now. We’ve just completely transformed our roster and dumped all of the bullshite. Taking on this ball and chain of a contract on a player whose game was predicated on explosiveness as he ages is about as dumb as it gets.

If they hunted all 3 stats and made their teammates get out the way so they could compile them: Lebron, KD, Simmons, Jokic, Harden.
