but the version of Monty we are seeing this series is more appealing than I ever dreamed possible.

Monty jokingly began interview today w/1-word answers. Based on crowd-noise "controversy" he explained: "No one's twisting my words anymore"

A lot of the national media guys were killing Monty for the 4th quarter of game 2.

I personally think the end of game 2 was a combination of exhaustion/frustration from AD and Reke. Also, lack of experience and none of that really falls on Monty.

If our guys didn't go full fledge derp in the last 3 minutes, I could see the argument. We played so terrible though, it's hard to see it as anything other than inexperience, fatigue, and health. Also, Klay Thompson went fricking nuts.

It is the coaches fault in the last minutes of the game.

My only complaint with Monty last game is I wanted to see more of the Hack-a-Bogut. On the warriors last possession before half, I think everyone could smell that Curry 3 that put them up.
The end of the game, when it seemed like Thompson couldn't miss, would've been a good time as well.
Hack Bogut or Iggy, kill the momentum, take the crowd out, save the clock.

We'll see. I've been pleasantly surprised by Monty in the spurs game and these two playoff games, but that's partly bc my bar is so low.

His specific in game stuff, timeouts, rotations, etc have all been alright. But our offense in the second half of game 2 was pretty putrid. It basically consisted of Pondexter, Evans, or Davis barreling into three Golden State defenders and hoping for a foul call or incredibly difficult shot.

How many times in the fourth quarter did Davis get the ball curling off a screen, on a pick and roll, on a drive and kick, or even on a switch? I can't remember a single time. As much as I hate Draymond he's winning that straight one on one matchup, especially late in the game when Davis is tired. Monty has to come up with some ways to get him the ball in a slightly advantageous position
