Pels get: Kristaps, Mudiay, and Tim Hardaway Jr, First round pick
Knicks get: Anthony Davis

Knicks get a superstar that will help them lure Kevin Durant

Pelicans get a star forward in Kristaps, and depth with Mudiay and Hardaway Jr. most importantly, they would get two top 10 picks, being the knicks will continue sucking, and without AD, the pels would tank

We need a hard reset of this franchise. It has been stained via awful free agent acquisitions and in order to make up for it, we’ve been throwing away first round picks to get rid of them. We need to build a team through the draft like the Nuggs, Kings, Philly, etc.

Next season we could look at a roster of

Mudiay/Payton
Jrue/Moore
Pick/Hardaway/Miller
Niko/pick
Randle/Diallo

I put Kristaps below Tatum, Simmons, and the Lakers trio. I have a feeling he’s going to be hurt a lot throughout his career.

Had Kristaps never got seriously injured then yes. But now it is a huge risk.

No.. After last night Dallas may look to move DSJ though..

Randle, Hill and a 1st for DSJ and Matthews... Would like to send Wes instead of Hill, but for that to work we would have to send out Niko instead of Randle

I actually wouldn’t mind this trade if it’s a top 3 pick.

The Lakers trio is overrated. I rank them below the unicorn.

If Kristaps was 3 inches shorter I’d be much less worried, but man 7’ 3”+ guys just tend to have problems over the years. Yao Ming didn’t make it into his 30s for example.

I agree he’s easily more talented than that trio. But starting off with a knee injury this early on is not a good sign of things to come. It just scares me to put the franchise hopes on someone like that.

He’s injury prone?!?! He sounds like a Pelican already.

I suggested this trade in another thread, but I don't think the Knicks would give up Porzingis. The pick is very tempting, especially if it is top 3. But my trade was based around the idea of Irving going to the Knicks. It looks like Irving has made a verbal commitment to stay with the Celtics. So, the Celtics are going to have the best package to offer. Especially when you factor in the three young pieces (Rozier, Tatum and Brown), plus the 4 1st round picks in this year's draft.

The Pelicans will be in massive rebuilding mode no matter what. Randle is going to opt out. That will leave only about 6 or so guys under contract..

I think the Knicks would make that trade if they can lure a Kevin Durant in free agency 10/10 times and would consider if they could land Klay Thompson knowing that AD and him are close. I don’t think they make it if Davis is the only star there.

You are totally right. But I don't think Durant or Thompson make the move there without a major FA guard going there first. That would be either Irving or maybe Kemba Walker. Also, that pick could be top 3. As great as Davis is, would a team give up a Zion Williamson or RJ Barrett under a cheap 6 year controlled contract for Davis on the Supermax? Personally, I would take one of the kids, plus the cash to sign other players. I don't anybody trades any of the top 3-5 picks in this years draft, even for Davis..

Give me Tatum or Simmons over any of the studs in this draft class. Tatum is going to be a problem at SF for the next 10-12 years if he can stay healthy. That dude is legit and plays the hardest position in the league to find elite talent at.

Imo Tatum is overrated. He has a lot of potential obviously and hes super young, but he's currently not even as good as Jrue. I dont think you can build around him. I'm sure itd make a ton of people happy around here but I'd want all the picks along with him.

But I'm in the boat that I'd prefer AD over any realistic deal that has been thrown out there.

if he was healthy they wouldn't deal him.

Take a chance. Porzingas was 4th guy taken.
2 good picks. One could be AD.
A couple of other guys.

Porzingas not being ready means you tank. So pels pick is better.

Make them take hill too.
