I worry for you 504, you are so obsessed with Luwawu that you remind me of that guy that was so obsessed with Drummond over Davis that even when everyone else in the world realized Davis was becoming the better pro, he still went on long winded tangents claiming Drummond was better. To this day still unwilling to acknowledge Davis as a great player.
Luwawu has a long road to go to be a meaningful pro, anchoring yourself so strongly to one prospect is begging to be a punching bag going forward if he falls below the lofty expectations you have for him.

The Vertical: 2016 NBA mock draft

Yahoo Sports
"When teams analyze the draft, they often look for the best available players and don’t necessarily look to fill needs.
The key is for teams to stick to their boards come draft time. Teams get themselves in trouble when they draft a player based on need and not on the most long-term value.
If Utah center Jakob Poeltl is head and shoulders the best available player when the New Orleans Pelicans pick, then they should draft him. It should not matter that New Orleans already has centers Omer Asik and Alexis Ajinca on its roster.
Teams are in the business of collecting assets. The more assets you have, the better flexibility to improve your roster going forward. The draft is not a place to fill needs. That’s what free agency and trades are for."
"6. New Orleans Pelicans
Jakob Poeltl
C (Utah - sophomore)
20.3 years old | 7'1" | 242 lbs
Salary slot: $2,931,000
Insider info: The Pelicans could use another skilled big man to pair alongside Anthony Davis, who would rather play facing the basket at PF. Poeltl is considered the best center in this draft and has plenty of upside to continue to develop both physically and skill-wise."

he's overrated, puts up mediocre stats and takes bad shots

Nah man I'm getting shitted on for liking a guy who's rated well above another guy everyone is crazy over. What you are talking about is complete reverse where you guys are gawking over a prospect that not even close to be projected where we are picking.

I like Luwawu a lot too but I don't see us picking a int'l guy

I feel the same way but if it's true of what Dell want a experience guy who can contribute now in a postion of need with him trying to trade for Porter he's the most logical pick imo. I think Dell is in too much deep shite to guy for a high ceiling international guy that our fan base isn't familiar with and won't trade back because the team won't let him mess with our pick. So I see us picking Heild on Murray. Knowing Dell MO with sunk cost he won't admit he's wrong with the Asik contract and pick Poeltl.

Yea I don't see us passing on heild unless maybe brown is available at our pick

Dude, he is less experienced than Hield. La Queef Liga is not better than major conference college ball. Hield has played against way more NBA and future NBA players than Luwawu to this point.

90% of college players wouldn't even make a euro roster.

Yes it is. He may play against one or two NBA role players on occasion and a star rarely but the rest of the guys wouldn't event make a d league roster or sniff a major euro league team. They may not have the top end talent, which also isn't entirely true (Porzingis, Nurkic, Jokic among others), but the overall talent level is way above college ball. These are grown men and would go undefeated in NCAA play. Luwawu is arguably showing more skill being able to lock down more experienced and smarter ball handlers than Hield does playing bully ball on smaller younger guys.

Heild having a high floor is what gets him drafted by the pels. Book it.
Posted on 3/16/16 at 12:25 am to sma19
Referring to the Serbian League as "Euro League" is the problem. Acting like he regularly goes up against the best in Europe is silly. This isn't a FIBA tournament of countries. Sure, some of the guys are seasoned veterans, bUT very few of them would ever sniff an NBA opportunity. Stop over playing how good the Serbian League is. A league in Europe =/= Euro League.

So?
We also don't know who'll be calling shots so making statements like this are futile.
I'd be completely fine with heild and most everyone would as well.

You mean before basketball blew up as an international sport in the 80's? Also the team he plays for are player under 22 who play in one of the most competitive pro leagues and have produced numerous numbers of good pros recently.

It was over 25 years ago when we sent all college kids... Not sure how you define wasn't that long ago, and the world basketball culture wasn't a fraction of what it is today so that's a pretty dumb argument to make. Like saying Hyundia is still a shitty made car because they used to be in the early 2000's. Things change and if you refuse to acknowledge that than you're just sticking your head in the sand.
