Yeah dude hated being here that's why he didn't sit courtside that night after being traded. Oh wait

I didn't take his comment as "didn't want to be here" as he hated his teammates or coaches. I took more as frick Griff for the contract situation.
I wasn't hurt by the comment either, as I agree with him if that was the main issue.

Listening to Josh talk about why he didn't want to be in New Orleans, he felt the team screwed him on his contract, and they did because that's what RFA is designed to do, it really makes you wonder how what's happening now will change BI's attitude towards the team.

That being said, Josh played fantastic while not wanting to be here.
Josh got much more than his market value at the time. He chose to sign the deal. He could have just played out his contract as a RFA.

Later in the pod he said that he liked Willie and BI, and didn't really care about leaving anyone else. But, also, Trey was only on the pod today because he's friends with Hart so obviously he liked Trey, too.

I guess he’s not buddies with Zion either

The whole SVG thing probably threw them off Zion because Z loved SVG but Hart and BI couldn’t stand him

It didn't really sound like it, he didn't say anything bad about Zion, even said Zion would beat Brunson in 1:1, but I also didn't hear him say anything that makes me think they are friends or anything either.

I didn’t watch the video but y’all are talking about him like he is a Walmart worker. He is a pro athlete, I’m guessing in his mind he wants as much money as possible without having to ask for it. Pels saying go out and see your worth…. No, I’m playing hard for YOU, you give me all the money!!!

That’s not how those negotiations work. The team makes an offer, player/agent counteroffers usually for a ridiculous amount.

Team then comes back with another offer that’s slightly higher, player/agent make another counteroffer. At that point you can tell if you will find common ground, and if you can’t then you tell the player to go ahead and see what’s out there and we will decide if we plan to match

Part of the problem we had with Zion was that (at least until this past season) he didn't make friends with anyone on the team. Plenty of guys have clearly loved BI, but Zion didn't seem to connect with anyone.

Zion has clearly had some social awkwardness, and I'm still not sure if there's anyone on the team that he hangs out with on his days off.

I don’t know why he said Pels did him dirty in the contract negotiations. They gave him a chance to go out and find more money and he couldn’t do it, and Griff gave him more than he was offered on the open market.

This somewhat ties into what I said a couple days ago about BI being the canary in the coal mine and face of this immediate reaction to the new CBA (and its impact on max salaries).

If that CBA was delayed a year, there's 0 doubt BI gets a full max as a matter of course, as many people he is friendly with in the league got. No doubt, no negotiation, auto-max scenario. The league is having a major reflex to the new CBA and he's the guy who is facing the impact of this (over?) reaction. It's fricking with him b/c if he doesn't get that max, he's a 2nd class citizen.

Hart is showing the same reaction, just a tier or 2 below. Guys like Josh Hart know they're not max guys, but they also know their tier. He's still sore b/c he didn't get the contract offers he felt his tier should get. We even overpaid him (allegedly) based on that market, and gave him a contract to allow him to be traded (and get a new deal) to help him. Still sore.
