Unless they believe coming into a winning culture will unlock Wiggins true potential and actually make him work..

It could work out and they ended up with an all star talent, or they just got average Wiggins

They won a title with Steph, Klay, Dray and Barnes.

Wiggins can easily fill the Barnes role. Not to mention the early first round picks they will have this year and with the 2021 minny.

I mean this is why they did it. super talented kid that has yet to live up to the hype to come play with the best backcourt in the NBA in Curry & Klay

plus with Draymond kicking him in the butt everyday you never know.

but again, I think there is more to this story, even though it looks like the Warriors saying "well this is better than nothing" and pulling the trigger

I assume this is at least a part of that...

I am guessing that getting out of the tax was a significant (not more than 50%, but significant) motivation to do this deal now for GSW.

another was probably not wanting to lose DLO with nothing to show for it. another is talking themselves into a super talented young kid getting in with 3 NBA champions & turning him around

idk im just trying to figure out the logic here

He has 3 more years left on his contract, so that was not a risk.

WOj clarified that it’s a 2021 2nd. Don’t know the protections yet.

Atlanta accumulating cash to help teams out of tax. Thought Miller would be used to help teams out of tax, but does not appear we will be involved.

Washington's demand for Davis Bertans is two first-round picks, per league sources. Bertans will be an unrestricted free agent and the Wizards would like to re-sign him if they keep him. The Celtics one of multiple playoff teams with interest in acquiring Bertans.

PF: Draymond Green - 4 yrs, $99.7 mil

Yes

GS wanted 21 unprotected pick plus another 1st from them, so GS backed off a little

They can’t get both 2020 and 2021. The sticking point was GSW wanted the 2021 instead. It’s projected to be a much much better draft.
