I'm just so confused by what's going on. Here's how things have gone as I recall:

1. We traded Josh Hart and NAW for CJ

2. We played well to end last season without Zion and made the playoffs via play-in

3. We started this season with Zion in a limited role missing several games. We were still a playoff team in these games.

4. We went god mode when Zion became a constant starter. Ultimately, we were moving up and down between 1st and 4th seed in the West.

5. Zion got injured and we have been one of the worst teams in the NBA since.

What am I missing? How did this team become so bad?

Willie Green was an exceptional front running coach. His inexperience is showing. Our roster youth is showing. This team can’t handle adversity.

I was high on Willie. Sky high. I loved his vibe and attitude. But you gotta be able to punch back too.

Jose and Larry both played at a very high level before getting injured. They have been mostly out since and not as good as early in the season when they’ve been back. That plus Zion made the team look a lot better than now.

It's the lack of coaching. Either the coaches aren't coming up with good plans to get our guys in good situations or our guys are ignoring the plan. Either way that's on the coach.

We could also use a couple of player consolidations to turn a couple of solid players into a better player. Oh, and start over with the bigs but I don't trust griff to pick out new ones. I think Jax could excel with better coaching, we can't develop for shite.

Coaches that don’t have the ability to make adjustments will lose games.

The team was awful pre CJ trade last year. They made the trade for CJ and that change is why they succeeded.

Fast forward to this year, teams figure out some things and despite early success , once they did, this team has been awful because Willie as a coach makes no adjustment. He is not an intelligent BBIQ coach. He’s purely a rah rah guy.

What you have seen is what happens when the team tunes out the Rahrah guy and loses all focus. Just a team that looks awful and like they don’t even care about being out there.

It’s why hiring a non-Scheme coach for such a young team is just stupid and doomed for long term failure.

It reminds me of how LSU players would be awesome their freshman year under Miles and then get worse. When you get bad coaching, you counter natural instincts and cause regression. That is what is happening here.

That's true. I also feel like at some point (not sure when) Jonas went from a big offensive threat to an offensive liability.

Id love to hear your opinion because i think we see this team and its problems similarly.

To me all the injuries/roster have been more of a problem than willie.

If everyone is healthy with some tweaking i think this team is alright with willie. I don't think they fire him anyway.

This idea that at firing the coach is the solution is outrageous. We’ve fired coach after coach . Long before Griff got here and he’s in coach 3.

Coaching matters but this is a players league .

Role players have had to play more and bigger than their roles . Top players haven’t played up to expectations and/or haven’t been on the floor enough . Team morale is at rock bottom . They know it’s over .

Willie has room to grow from a tactics, system, and x & o perspective . He’ll get better .

Another thing about this, and I’m just saying, Ingram wasn’t playing
