All the hype and excitement is gone all because dudes can’t play hurt. No pride or desire to go out and compete night in or night out. Good chance we are a 7-8 seed and bounced in rd 1. You heard it here first.

You are what we call a fair weather fan. Typing up your opinion without really knowing anything about the player or injury. I hope you sign off and stay away. It’s a long season. We will get right and enjoy a very fun end to the season.

1st time around these parts??

I gladly take this season. We are primed for a great playoff run if we get healthy, but if not, our young talent is getting a lot of development.

With the stretch coming up it’s absolutely paramount we get another load carrier back. We can hold onto 4th or 5th if we do, but we aren’t far outside the play in after leading the Conference just a few weeks ago.

I think we’ll be fine too but honestly it’s probably too late for a top 1-2 seed. We’re already 5 games from Memphis and 7 from Denver. We’ll most likely be close to 10 back before Zion and BI are healthy. Barring a big injury on their end I struggle to see how we can make that up with only 26 games left.

But we’ll be out of play in which is good.

If we get healthy we will be a scary 7th/8th seed. But it does suck to watch being a top seed dwindle away

the patience is pathetic

you have to be patient, especially with a young team.

Yeah, just have to also get a pulse of what the NBA and the West is like this year....

Everyone was so quick to like/share/post that #1 Seed though in early December

It's not a sprint....

Zion is in year 4, BI year 7. Not sure why you're preaching patience when we're behind schedule.

Sure, if you step back and look at this from the perspective before the season, this looks good.

But expectations change, especially when you're the 1 seed after 35 games or so. A 4 or 5 seed and virtually no chance at a title would really suck knowing that if we just had health, we could have done so much more.

Right. This is not THAT young a team. It has a lot of vets, as well as young players.

BI has been in the league for 7 years. Youth is just not an excuse anymore.

We just have injury prone stars, an incredibly overly conservative training staff, and depth that isn't as good as we thought.

No experience. Not always full healthy.

It's coming....

If Zion was 25-26 and all of this was occurring then sure, I would say WIN NOW. WTF WHERE ARE YALLL!! OMGZZZZZZZZZZZ

But that's not the case. Zion is only 22 years old.

Patience. Let them get their "beaks" wet this year.... go lose in the 1st round, then come back fully healthy next year. Anything past the 1st round would be lagniappe and only propel what next year or the year after would bring.

The "play in" BS really boosted people's expectations and where this team/organization should be at. It's still on schedule.. just let it blossom

Agree. BI has taken that next step, buuttttttttt....if he's not on the court then he cannot contribute.

Seems like the Melt is beginning to happen though. Probably best just to log out and check back in after the All-Star Break.

the WIN NOW montra though needs to stop, and just look in the mirror and understand what you are and be good at that.

Right

My expectations havent really changed.

My preseason assessment was this is a team that if healthy COULD be a top 3 seed.

That in terms of the post-season, this is probably a 2nd round team, MAYBE conference finals if the matchups fall correctly.

But that we still had some roster redundancies to fix and balance out.

Frankly, depending on BI's return, even top 3 seed isn't out of the question. There is still half a season to play and Jokic missing time, Grizz getting hurt/slumping, or the Kings slipping up could both move the Pels right back into position.

Who says we can't be healthy during the playoffs? With this team I'm not even worried about the lack of 3pt shooting, Zion is a fricking cheat code and B.I. even giving us 80% of what he did in the playoffs last year has wcf written all over this team.
