He just got waived. We could use him with Ryno and AD out for a few weeks

if you would've told us before the 2012 draft that we could have AD and Thomas Robinson we would've been talking about how many titles we will have

I compared him to Carl Landry during the draft. Last time injury at PF threatened a playoff bid Carl Landry saved the day.

Miami has an open slot now too. Could be an issue of him being able to choose a playoff team vs a fringe one in danger of missing entirely.

Also, he could see us as just another team with no long term future. He'd be here for like a month and then cut again. Why bother

From his perspective anyway

I was all aboard the Thomas Robinson pain train if we didn't get the #1 pick

This makes me think that AD is closer to day-to-day than 2 weeks.

Same here. Although I'm sure they're both over it, it would be funny to see Robinson on the same team as AD after the "Check my stats" shirt AD wore before the draft.

Hopefully so, but this wouldn't be the first time that the team has gone in a completely different direction than what most of us think is the obvious choice.

No, he's not a star, but he's a good player to have on your bench. He would be a good fit in NO.

He's working on his 5th team in 3 years. There's not a team in the league that will view him in their long term plans based on what he's done so far.

He's been playing behind Lamarcus Aldridge for the better part of 2 seasons

The other year he was a rookie

In 4 career starts he's averaging 9/9 playing an average of 23 mpg

2 games he got 30+ minutes he's averaging 13/11

on a per 36 basis, he's averaging more rebounds than the likes of Gobert, Vucevic, Duncan, Noah, Faried, Love, AD23 etc etc. If anything, he can rebound.

I didn't say he was useless I said he's in no position to expect to find a longterm home right now. He apparently wants to join a contender which makes no sense.

not a bad way to finish the year. Most contenders could use a solid big. He ends up getting decent playing time and a few solid games in the playoffs could make him money next year.
