This team is woefully outsized. We need to grab Nick Richards.

He’s the last legit center worth a shite that could play 20-24 minutes a night as Missi’s backup but some team will sign him very soon. I don’t understand this level of inaction. We have plenty of money to sign Richards and one open roster spot. If Yves gets hurt this year its over because DJ is too old to play meaningful minutes and Karlo/Queen are not NBA centers. It feels like every team in the NBA prioritized getting bigger and adding talent at the center position while we have done nothing at all.

I understand the logic of the post (adding height), but do you think if Yves plays 82 games the Pels will be good ….

I think this team lives or dies on Zion or Trey making a step up to being the undisputed #1 option on the team as well as big jumps from Missi, Fears and Queen. To answer your question though my money is on we wont put it together again and suck but if we can actually gel as a team there is a lit of talent but we are going to get killed on the glass nightly if they really think Queen or Karlo is the backup center. Richards would be a 1 year deal for maybe $5-7 million. Just seems like a prudent thing to do with the size of teams in the west. Maybe they make a late trade but there is a massive hole at center right now.

We are a wing deep team, that will be playing a lot of 3/4 tweeners. I think we will primarily play with only 1 true big most of the with Queen and Missi splitting time. I wouldn't mind adding another big, but I think this is Matkovics last shot. So, it's his to lose at this point. If he fails or we have a massive injury, we'll make a move to add somebody. But there aren't a lot of minutes available right now..

It seems this has been the case every season, yet we have spent like 10 first round picks on drafting or trading for a center in the last decade

Don't look at the 2027 projected lottery picks

Karlo is in no way a center though and he fouls out in 5 minutes. We are going to get murdered on the glass and in the paint on D.

If Yves plays 82 games off the bench then its a decent bet.
