All of that may be true, but the effort isn't there either

how can any make a judgement on this team when so many key players are out or/and have just returned? Have to get everyone healthy and playing together for a month or two month in the new system then form an opinion.

It'd be nice if they stepped it up on D in the 1st half.

This all falls back on the GM. Gentry is a good coach, but this team was not assembled for his system

He has never has been a good head coach.
I thought it was a terrible hire, but i want to give him a chance. i have a very little patience left. if we are sitting at 10-22 come new years, i think we'd be lucky, and if we are at that are under for some god awful reason, then Gentry needs to hit the road.

At this point, i feel like we'd be much better off with Monty by upgrading his staff.

AD looks like an average player. I don't know what they are trying to do on offense. There's so little ball movement it's like watching a biddy basketball game.

They are taking 27 3's a game, compared to 19 last year. and the 3's they are taking aren't usually 3's created off of ball movement or dribble penetration. They are shots thrown up b/c it's the best shot we can get b/c we aren't getting to the goal.

The defense is just nonexistent, and that's the biggest concern. Our offense was just fine last year, it was our defense that needed to get better, and it looks like one of the worst in the league, which was common under Gentry led teams in the past.

I said the defense was the biggest concern but i was mistaken. The lack of energy and effort is. No one on the court looks like they are enjoying themselves at all. No one looks like they are giving 80% much less 100%.

This team found a grove at the end of the season last year. EG was an impact player on the court hitting 3's. AD was taking over games when needed. Reke was doing what he wanted, and the role players were playing efficiently and our second team wasn't losing leads. The only problems were Asik, Anderson, and Jrue's health.
I think with Monty, we'd be a top 5 team in the West. Right now we look like bottom 5 team in the league.

If things don't improve, it will be obvious that Dell is the problem. Monty was not a good coach and I do not want him back. If we do not get competitive and atleast get in the fight for the playoffs, then Loomis and Benson need to clean house. Free agency this summer is not going to be the time to sit around with our thumbs up our arses. There are multiple big name free agents that would pair nicely with AD and we cannot afford to have a crappy GM and coach.

With that being said, I think we pull it together and the AD and pels pain train gets back on track.
