This is the first season in a while where I don't feel a move is needed

...to finish top 4 in the West. Sure part of it is parity in the West, but for once this team is starting the season with an identity it spent all of last year building, Defend and Run. The players it added seem to fit that identity and the players it kept minus Rondo were a good playoff team.

Facts, ATL. I feel better about this team and than I did last years. It seems like these players will play well off each other and all fit into the system, unlike last season where it seemed like the Pels were still trying to run but had a ball dominant center that was slow and bad on defense. Basically the worst type of player you'd want on a team that is trying to run with AD.

Solo is still on the roster. I feel we need to move him.

If Solomon plays at his pre injury level and Moore is as good as he was last year plus any production from frank Jackson then I’ll definitely agree

That’s a big IF on Solo

I’m ok with Hill as the backup 3/small ball 4.

I agree with ATL. I think we are a solid team. I think we need to flip Moore/Hill for a better 3 that can shoot and score (solid 2/3 option) but we are not desperate. I believe Moore is fine until then but we have a solid team with more depth than we ever had before.

I don't think it's that big of an "if". The guy was out of shape because of a serious hamstring injury. He was never going to be in real shape last year and that made his defense (the strongest part of his game) suffer greatly. The fact that he's had all offseason to get in shape and looks to be in shape is great sign that he'll return to form.

Still, it's not like Solo was great or anything pre-hamstring injury. But I still fully expect him to be somewhat useful to us again.

Anything better than 7 seed will be the demonstration of the power of prayer.

1. Not one serious injury.

2. Hill in great shape.

3. Jackson plays his way into serious pt.

4. Pels make trade at deadline for a starting sf.

AD is gonna make Dell look like a damn genius with the EP signing. Elfrid can get in the paint and toss up lobs in his damn sleep.

It really depends on Elfrid IMO, as far as this being a 6-8 seed or a 3-5 seed. I really loved the idea of Payton coming here and backing up Rondo for a year, learning how to win. Unfortunately we lost Rondo. I feel good about the Payton fit, though. He should be able to rejuvenate his career with the fast pace offense the Pels run.

We know what AD, Jrue and Niko will bring. They were great together. I am confident Randle will be good here, likely a better fit than Boogie, though obviously less talented. Moore is damn solid. This team should be good. Hopefully Hill can be OK, that would go a long way. I am curious to see if they will try to get Niko, AD, Randle all in at the same time. I really do think Niko could play some at the three, same with Randle, though he isn't a shooting threat.

frank Jackson

I really think he will be good. He was far and away the best player on the court in the first half off the summer league game. Just freakish athleticism and aggressive. Will get to the line quite a bit. Hopefully he can stay healthy.

Most hyped I’ve been in the AD area for the start of a season

Your crazy if you think this team is a 4 seed. I love the pels but we still did not address the SF position and that will kill us against the elite teams.

The only way you can move Solo is if he plays out of his skin, and then you obviously want to keep him?

We moved Asik basically for free. The 1st was just for Niko.

Exactly. And Solo has this year and next year left on his contract. At the time we traded Asik, he had that year and two additional years after (one being a player option) left. All we need is a team that's tanking.

Tanking and trading a player nobody else is willing to give up.a 1st to get. Best case scenario might be a Barnes but you’re probably talking about giving up a 1st for an expiring Carroll or Ariza.

I don't feel like either are worth a first at their age.

Right, but nobody will take Solo without a 1st. Solo becoming useful is probably the best fix although not the most likely.
