Beating a dead horse ain't the intention, and definitely not making this thread to say anything bad about the greatness of Z. I believe he is a top 10 player every night and a top 4 finisher of all time (Jordan, Bron, Wade). But look at these 2 vids, look at the weight difference in just 5 days, WITH GAMES BETWEEN THEM

Maybe it's something he has trouble controlling medically. That's a HUGE difference in very few days. I noticed this last year, I was bored watching highlights cause ain't no games for days. I just bought a 100 inch TV for 4,000$, and this shite stood out.

He is still dominant at the higher weight, still a top 10 player. But how he can go up and down like that is a scientific marvel lol. Could it be a medical thing we just gotta deal with?

I had been saying that he's never been as big as he is this season, but in the 76ers game he looks as big as he was in the play in tournament. I'm looking at clps from year 2 where he was the same size and clips from year 2 where he was lean.

Wtf is going on here ??

Detroit Warren, you are an enigma!

Your last Zion thread from a few days ago was that he was fat and slow.

But today, you got him as a top 10 NBA player and top 4 finisher in NBA history, which I don't know that anyone will agree with you that he's THAT high on either list.

We are having conversations about him coming into a whole "season" in shape.

Maybe the conversation should start to focus on a night to night thing.

I'm really trying to get y'all to look at the difference of his weight every single night, compared to season by season, which seems to make no difference. I think night to night tells a bigger story, and this shite is some type of medical marvel that REALLY needs to be talked about because LOOK at it.

If you can look at these 2 videos, 5 days apart in the scale of actual TIME.

We might need somebody like Kang The Conquer to explain how things like this work.

It's a scientific marvel

No. I take full responsibility for molding the conversation as something that's an issue, when maybe scientifically, it's something that makes absolutely no damn sense.

DO YALL REALLY SEE HOW MUCH MUCH BIGGER HE IS VS PHILLY VS THE SIZE HE IS VS MINNESOTA?

Focus on that for one second, and try to get people like Jake Madison and my favorite dudes like the Boot Krewe Media to discuss this topic

He's literally the most efficient scorer in NBA history.

It's an actual fact statistically. Like, factually from an actual numbers stand point and eye test.

If he had the most efficient scoring season in NBA history, then acting like this is some crazy thing to say makes you look like the crazy one

Did he or did he not have the most efficient scoring season in NBA history in year 2?

IS THIS NOT AN ACTUAL FACT. NOT SOMETHING I MADE UP OUT OF THIN AIR. MEANING IM BASING THIS CONVERSATION ON SOMETHING THAT ACTUALLY HAPPENED.

YES OR NO?

It's crazy that in the year 2024 people will debate against things that's non debatable.

Answer: I don't know

Who is debating this? I'm asking you a question, you said he was the most efficient scorer ever, I have no clue if this is true, I asked you based on what numbers.

The only player in NBA history to average 27ppg on 60%, he was at 62%.

Thanks! I'd argue FG% isn't the way to tel who is most efficient, but you have a fair point nonetheless.

Couple of things, just thoughts...

Giannis is gonna top that this season

Year 5 Zion isn't as good as year 2 Zion, so Zion maybe "was" the most efficient scorer ever, but he's not any more.

Yea, Giannis was most likely will. Z has a much deeper bag and gets the the basket much easier though, Giannis also struggles vs zones while Zion thrives vs them.

Z will get that title back sooner than later lol

Y'all still have missed the whole point of the thread. Why are we talking about season yo season status of his shape when it's a day to day issue. The difference in these vids are so clear it's crazy.

I think it's more that you haven't really proven your point. I just don't see it in the links you provided. Do you have some screen shots or time stamps that you think show what you're talking about?

Also, his conditioning decline earlier in the season after just a game off was noticeable. He seems to be in a different space now, although I am anxious to see what he looks like after a week off.

I'll try to take a couple shots at noticable moments and make some side by sides to see if I notice a difference.

The white jerseys do look to add weight visually, but I don't think that's the case
here.

I'll post em when I make em

Ain't no camera cutaways that follows him after baskets in the 6ers game, and it might not be as extreme as I thought, though still noticable.

Nothing I can do with a screenshot will do it any justice cause the camera only follows him after 1 basket and he is running during the 6ers game.

The MIN game has plenty of stand stills, can't mimic that with the other one.

It definitely could be the white jerseys and this weed though lmao.
