if Zion keeps missing games and getting injured.. yes. It’s an investment on the future. If it’s a deal you can’t turn down you should do it before he more than likely gets hurt again and his value tanks more. Can you be a little smarter and not think so narrowly.

No one is saying miller is better than Zion

Miller...would be my FIRST choice in any realistic trade involving Zion.

LOL

You pretend to care about defense, and then you say something like this. Miller is as bad defensively as Jordan Hawkins was as a rookie. If he went to any school other than Alabama, you'd be going on and on about how he puts up numbers but doesn't impact winning. And at this stage of his career, you'd be right. And unless his defense improves dramatically, it will be the same story in 5 years.

He’s going to end up with a lot more games played than your hero BI who’s played 18 the entire season.

I wouldn’t exactly call what Ingram did in last year’s playoffs “playing” either. More like getting emasculated by Lou Dort

Low blow to the Ingram Stans.

Well that escalated fast.

I see where you’re coming from. Don’t get me wrong but I doubt we will ever see a SGA package again. Those days are gone unless the CBA changes. Even then, we will need new management. I have zero faith in Griffin when he literally threw away most of our chest pieces in the AD trade.

Zion is the healthiest and lowest weight he ever been. I may be naive, but I believed he changed. Add us a top 5 pick and I can see us going far next year if we are healthy. We should’ve picked up Casey when he was available. Supposedly he got fired because he went against Nico and saying Luka is fine at his weight. Knicks are the lowest in injuries and that’s with Thibodeaux being HC.

I’m not completely opposed to keeping Zion he’s playing fantastic. We’ve just had a history under griff of keeping guys too long until their value is non existent. We haven’t done anything with Zion in the 5 years he’s been here. Our best season was a 7 seed with him playing 70 games.

Don’t think a potential top 4 rookie is going to improve us a ton next year and I don’t think we have the assets that can beat teams like Houston to get a guy like Booker.

Plus you have Dejounte under contract whos gonna be out a good portion of next year.

Just feels like the writing is on the wall with this era.

you answered your own question. How many times are we going to have to play the first half of every season without him? Trade him ASAP hopefully he gets performing at a high level and doesn’t get hurt again so we can get the most value

Actually...Bama has had 7 players drafted in the past 15 years. Five in the 1st round and two in the 2nd...and to be honest...Herb and Miller are the only two I would want on my team.

Not sure what tha hell the Pels saw in Lewis...and I want absolutely NOTHING to do with Sexton. Primo is not even worth mentioning. I guess Clowney has potential but I wouldn't want him.

And just so you know...Miller is a very solid defensive player...when he wants to be. Think of Miller as a young Paul George...without the attitude.

Ingram got hurt carrying the load. Zion gets hurt carrying a plate of food.

Ingram is gone. You can't blame Zion's bullshite on him anymore.

So, you want a coach that excuses out of shape star players to coach the most out of shape pseudo-star in NBA history?

Zion has been really good since he came back. Top 5 in on/off differential in the entire league.

If anything, Zion has been everything you'd hoped for since Ingram is out of the picture.

Now can he keep it up? And will he continue to stay in shape and improve his body through the offseason? No clue.

Ingram being out for 3 months for an ankle injury is wild.

Finally watched the Z highlights from last night. He made Jaxson his bitch on about 7 different occasions and the “defense” Lebron tried to play on him was fricking hilarious. Z just went right around him every time as he’s standing there like a retard with his hands on his crotch.

Has Zion's dunk on Jemison been discussed? My lord, his head was even with the rim.

I feel like you can still get max value even if he’s hurt. Everyone can see what he does when he’s healthy. He falls into Embiid, Kawhi, AD category of guys who are always hurt but can prob still get good return.

Zion even admitted that this is the best training and medical staff so far. If he ever becomes fat again, I eat my crow. I honestly believe he has matured and finally can see his potential as being a top 5 in the league.

On trade value...if some folks want to say we got 50 cents on the dollar for BI...THAT is because the other 29 teams did NOT think BI was worth more than 50 cents on the dollar. If ANY team thought he was worth 70 cents on the dollar to them...I assume we could have gotten 70 cents on the dollar. We took the best offer we could find for BI...THIS AIN'T ROCKET SURGERY !!

I said we got .50 on the dollar for BI because that’s what we got. I didn’t say we shouldn’t have done it or there was a better trade out there. Several factors made it necessary to trade BI. But it would be horrible to take that for Zion because he can’t just walk like BI could have after this year. Zion being under contract for more years makes it different. THAT AIN’T ROCKET SURGERY.

When/if... we ever play in a serious game with Zion in the future...rest assured he will be defended differently...and MUCH more effectively

This is stupid. In the game against the Lakers at the end of last year, you know the one that was essentially our first playoff game last year, he absolutely destroyed anything the Lakers threw at him. Didn’t see this magical effectiveness against him you’re talking about.
