The real issue with an AD trade

The issue that will come after AD is traded will be similar to the CP3 trade. Let's say you trade with Boston or LA -- now look at it from Ingram, Ball,.Tatum, Hayward, etc point of view.
You are being traded from one of the most historic franchises in all of sports. Major markets. Up and coming teams. Contenders. Franchises who have won tons of titles. Now, you are traded to a franchise that has literally done nothing in their history. In a very small market with poor attendence and basketball as an afterthought.
Prepare for a press conference similar to Gordon, Aminu, and Kaman. Expect little long term buy in from any of them.
This is why I am hoping for Zion to be the center of the trade. I want a guy who has no history elsewhere. Fresh, clean start. If it's Ball or Ingram or Tatum I could see another Gordon situation. A guy like Hayward will want out as soon as possible (his wife will I should say)
So go ahead and post your dream trades, but just know that is coming too

That’s why I’d prefer a trade with a dysfunctional organization with a high pick. Bulls for the top pick plus Markanen or Carter would be the absolute ideal for me

I’m with you and this is a thought I’ve had for awhile.

This is why I dont want Zion either.. They can keep the superstars, give me a team of one A- guy (Jrue) with 8-10 B-B+ guys with him that just play their hearts out every night for the simple reason that they love the game.. You may luck into a championship that way (worked for the Saints in 09), and if not you at least have a good team.

He plays his arse off and has high IQ to go along with some of the most unfathomable athleticism. It is clear he loves the game.

The major difference is this will essentially be their team the second they walk through the door. Tatum would have the green light here and put up stats to garner him all sorts of National attention other than “he’s the future”. He’d be the present and get to get up more FGA than he’ll ever have the chance to in Boston. It would instantly be his offense.
Ditto with Ball. It’s his show even more than Tatum. He doesn’t have to defer to anyone at all. Not Lebron’s snow anymore. Kuzma and Ingram would start day 1 and be about the same focal points they are now, but you have to be realistic. The Lakers were aiming to upgrade some of their spots with superstars.
Comparing Gordon/Kaman/Aminu to this scenario is so much different. Those three came into a roster that didn’t even have 5 players show up the beginning of camp and a team owned by the league.
Whoever gets traded here will come in with a 20/9 all defensive first time guard, and 2 PFs that average roughly 40/20 combined when they start.
If these guys want to make a name for themselves and be considered stars, they have a chance here that they were never going to have in their former teams.

Agree 100%. People keep talking about having Ball included in a Lakers trade. There's zero chance Lavar and Lonzo just take that without bitching every chance they get. I think he'd be worse than Gordon was here from an attitude standpoint.
Of course, it's also pretty tough to find anyone who's going to be happier coming here than staying where they are unless they're in a terrible situation right now.

So, we will see if Ball is the savvy businessman everyone claims he is. If he wants his son to put up gaudy numbers and start getting noticed, can’t find a much better place than a team that is starving at PG.
BTW, I also think Lavar will flip his shite personally. I also know if he wants his son to develop into an All NBA talent, it will not be playing next to Lebron James.

his best thing is being a freak of nature.
45" standing leap.
285 lbs.
His overall game is nothing special. There are 50 better basketball players in d1.
There are 2 on duke.
