The new narrative seems to be that the Pels will be in Seattle in a couple of years. Like AD not wanting to be here anymore is going to make Mrs. B. want to sell the franchise. All of these national media talking heads can eat a bag of dicks.

Anyone saying that doesn’t know the Benson family.
Post-Katrina flirtation with San Antonio aside, their history of ownership has pretty much been getting brought in as the local buyers to keep the team in town, both for the Saints and the Pels.
Gayle CAN’T move the Pels to Seattle due to NFL rules (can’t own a non-NFL team in another NFL team’s market, which is why Kronke split his ownership of the Nuggets and Rams to one of his kids) and I don’t see her bailing on the team after the nasty battle to keep the Pels and Saints from Rita and the other Benson kids / grandkids.

It’s not tampering or anything else. The narrative is this is all about the Lakers. NO!
It’s not about the damn Lakers!
This is about getting fair value for AD. Lakers don’t have the capital. If I go to buy a $500K sports car, the dealership isn’t trolling me. They are just telling me I don’t have enough money to by the car.

The funny thing here is you have generated Pels interest from non Pels fans because of the screw Los Angeles angle. By putting in the team effort you’re talking about, they’re creating fans of the organization, not just the team. Hopefully this really is an inflection point for the team and they start getting their collective shite together to build a winning organization.
I absolutely love this aspect of the situation. My fear is that once this trade deadline passes without a deal, this new found interest from these non-fans will waiver and disappear.
I hope that the organization REALLY leans into this momentum and develops an "Us against the World" identity. There's never been a better time to do this and that mantra is so fitting for this city, especially in the wake of the NFC Championship game situation. If we get the right haul back for AD (young players who actually embrace being here and have a chip on their shoulder), this could be a major turning point for this organization, finally in the right direction.

This could be a turning point for all small market teams throughout the association. The Pelicans have stood up to (please still be true at 3) a superstar and one of the most influential/power teams in all of sport.

I love how they are saying it's the Pelicans who leaked the deals to the media so sabotage the Lakers, and we're the vindictive bad guys now.
I'm pretty sure both sides were leaking info. The Lakers front office thought they could use the media to their advantage, and it has backfired royally.
The Pelicans leaking info wasn't to destroy LA, it was to let other teams, Boston, know what he has to beat. We simply were using the Lakers, not trying to destroy them. They did that to themselves.

Sign Javale, Lance, etc wasting one of Lebron's few remaining years and then not getting AD. Magic is as bad at being a GM as he is practicing safe sex.

Magic and LeBron are destroying that franchise. I liked LeBron before be he has become pure unlikeable. He has about as likeable as Cam Newton.
