5/30 – Hornets win #1 pick in NBA Draft Lottery. Also awarded the #10 pick via Minnesota.

6/20 – Hornets send SF Trevor Ariza, C Emeka Okafor to Washington for PF Rashard Lewis and #46 overall pick in 2012 NBA Draft.

6/28 – Hornets draft Anthony Davis with #1 pick, Austin Rivers with #10 pick, Darius Miller with #46 pick ... Hornets extend qualifying offer to Eric Gordon.


6/30 – Hornets waive PF Rashard Lewis

7/5 – Suns and SG Eric Gordon reach a verbal agreement on a 4-year/$58M offersheet. Hornets plan to match it.

7/8 – Orlando sign and trades PF Ryan Anderson at 4-year/$34M to Hornets for PF Gustavo Ayon.

7/11 – SG Eric Gordon signs PHX offersheet. Hornets have 3 days to match it ... Hornets send PG Jarrett Jack to Warriors as part of three-team trade with Golden State and Philadelphia ... Dallas signs C Chris Kaman for 1-year/$8M.

7/13 – Hornets receive Brooklyn's 2013 2nd round pick, Minnesota's 2016 2nd round pick and C Brad Miller's contract for a 2017 conditional 2nd round pick.

7/14 – Hornets match offersheet to retain SG Eric Gordon.

7/24 – Chicago signs SG Marco Belinelli for for 1-year/$1,957,000


7/25 – PF/C Anthony Davis (3-years/$16.1M) and SG/PG Austin Rivers (3-years/$5.9M) sign contracts with Hornets.

7/26 – Hornets receive C Robin Lopez (via sign-and-trade) and PF Hakim Warrick from Phoenix in 3-team trade. Hornets send PG Jerome Dyson, C Brad Miller's contract and two 2nd round draft picks to Minnesota

7/30 – Golden State signs PF Carl Landry for 2-years/$8M

8/3 – Hornets agree to terms with SG Roger Mason Jr. on a 1 year deal for the league minimum


9/6 – 2nd round draft picks become free agents if not offered contract.

10/1 – Last day for RFA's to accept a qualifying offer.

10/29 – Roster sizes reduced to 15-player maximum. Last day to make sign-and-trade transactions, and last day to waive non-guaranteed summer contracts.

10/30 – First day of 2012/2013 season.

seems like any SF available at 10 would be a little bit of a reach. MKG and Barnes should both be gone by then. I feel like 10 is a tad high for Jones or the kid from St. Johns

We may target Batum, but I don't see why Portland wouldn't match any reasonable offer thrown at him.

For those wondering, June 30th is the last day teams can put down a qualifying offer to restricted free agents i.e. Eric Gordon.
