yes spinoff from other thread but why is T Rob the better pick over Cody Zellar? I'm very intrigued by the 5 minutes of Cody Zellar research i've done. If we used our higher pick on him, i think there are more PF's in this draft that are of comparable talent to T Rob with our later (10th) pick of the draft. Like a McAdoo or Perry Jones.

TRob is a very good rebounder. He's much stronger than Zeller. Robinson can step out and hit a jumper but he does have long periods where he'll go cold.

I haven't watched enough of Zeller to really have a strong opinion of him but he needs to rebound better forhis size.

Why reach for Cody Zeller then take another PF at 10-12?

Why not take Barnes, MKG, Beal at 3 then take one of the PFs you mentioned?

Emeka sucks and needs to get shipped out. Barnes and MKG... not sure they are any better than Ariza. Ariza is not a bad piece to our team if he's one of the weaker pieces.

ETA: Cody is a center.I think he's as center as center gets.

Robinson is a better prospect than Zeller. Grab him and see what is left with Minn pick. Okafor isn't going anywhere, unless they amnesty him, until after next season. No reason to reach on a lesser prospect

Robinson will be able to contribute right away. He already has an NBA skill (rebounding) that he can hang his hat on while the rest of his game develops. McAdoo is really raw and much more of a project than Robinson at this point. Perry Jones III constantly disappeared in games and there are serious questions about his motor and willingness to play in the paint. Zellar is certainly intriguing if he comes out, but he will also take some time to come along. I have Robinson as a clear no. 2 on my board with MKG falling in behind him.

I dont want either of the Zeller kids... they arent very explosive or athletic, and arent wide enough to make up for that.

Theyre gonna get pushed around in the league IMO

Of course. At some point I'm supposed to write about these guys so I've done some research. You naturally just start putting these guys into an order, so I do have a board, as worthless as it might be.

Just wanted to throw this out there....we'll learn our fate in another 2 months.

Per Chad Ford:

The NBA draft lottery is expected to be held in New York instead of Secaucus on May 30

Almost there. We need a countdown thread.

A lotto countdown thread / early entry decision thread in one would be nice.
