I'm not sure why Memphis would do that.

I figured changes were being made in Minnesota to make Love happy. Maybe not.

quote:

Darren Wolfson @DarrenWolfson about 22 minutes ago

Spoke w/ Flip post-presser. Asked if Love can be main guy on really good team. Praised Love, but tap danced around a direct answer. #twolves

And in David Kahn's Exit Interview he made it sound like Love had some lockerroom problems.

quote:

A. ... And my feelings toward Kevin, frankly, I really like him. And we've had some really productive conversation about the steps he needs to take to win back the respect and admiration of his teammates and coaches. It's almost ridiculous how much attention is paid to my relationship with him. In terms of import, it has no bearing at end of the day whether he'll be happy here and whether organization will be happy with him. It's much more important for him to forge really meaningful relationships with his teammates and coaches.

Q. Why did you say he needs to win back the respect of his teammates?

A. I think there's some work for him to be done in terms of, he didn't play very much this year, right? And I think there's a void there because of that. Many of those guys really fought their way back from injury, sometimes multiple injuries. He had two broken hands. He came back once, didn't play well, broke his hand again and then decided to have his knee done at the end of the year when the pain was such. I think he has some work to do in the locker room, and I believe he will. I certainly don't want that to come across negatively. I believe he will and I believe he's on the right path.

I figured it'd be at least another year before they decided to move Love, but I wonder if he is indeed attainable now.

Gordon and Lopez going to Sac Town

Cousins, Thornton, and Salmons coming here

We swap 1sts in this draft (assuming that we have the higher pick). Better?

I think I'm obsessed with Cousins.

ETA: Hawks add Dwight and have no need for Horford. Yea, I know unlikely.

He probably is, but for an exceedingly high price.

Looking at Minny's roster, they don't have any ridiculously bad contracts, so we can't get value by taking on their garbage (unless they feel they want to get rid of DWill). They also have to feel ok about their Guards with Rubio and Shved, although obviously they can upgrade the 2 and have Shved as the first G off the bench.

Don't know. I really wonder what a realistic trade with them would look like for Love.

And I also have no idea how Love and Davis would work. You'd have to play Love at Center, obviously.

Lets try to be realistic. Gordon's value is at an all time low, if we throw in anderson and a first round pick maybe that's a bit more plausible

Salmons only has two years left, and one of those years is a Team Option I think. So really, one year.

No chance they send us a pick in that deal.

My bad. The site I was on didn't have the team option listed.

Even if it wasn't, they wouldn't be sending us a pick.

I think Monty would SIHP and then throw it at Dell.

I like some variation of a Gordon straight up for Deng trade. There'd have to be some other small additions to the trade that I don't feel like figuring out. After trades and draft we look like this:

Bledsoe/Roberts
McLemore or Oladipo/Rivers
Deng/???
Davis/Ryno
Pekovic(?)/Smoove

How are we getting Bledsoe, Deng and Pekovic while keeping our pick and Ryno? How do you see those trades going down.
