The Draft built Golden States dynasty and now possibly one beginning in OKC.

Dumars and Pels are wise to draft and sign younger players. The Pels aren't a veteran or two away from being a contender.

Cool. It would help if we were able to draft one next year, potentially a high lottery pick.

Those high picks are nice but some don't pan out. Ask Zion. Joe Dumars was selected 18th by Detroit. It's more about quality scouting and evaluating talent, but you have to look deeper into their motivation and work ethic.

True, he came via trade. But he was not a superstar at time of trade. He had potential but no one knew for sure.

This is different than a team trading for an existing superstar.
