The difference was Jose and Trey stepping up

Playing at home and having 2 star caliber players letting the role players play their more normal roles. Not taking anything away from BI's great game, but the stars doing star things and random role players stepping up each night has been missing.

I’ll take our stars doing star things any day over role players doing their thing

We saw it in Dallas. Stars matter in this league. The Mavs without Luka turned into a SWAC team

Ingram playing like a star opens things up for the role players. It allows them to step up

Yep. And Jose, Trey, Nance, and even Herb, had some clutch AF moments from the end of the 3rd until the end.

Yup, the offense finally clicked. The defense left a lot to be desired but whatever, a wins a win and the offense really really stepped up tonight. Hope it carries into tomorrow.

Right, it wasn't BI's best game of the season.

I’m saying you needed it all. Zion’s 43 points to beat Minnesota by 1 wouldn’t have been enough if Trey hadn’t scored 21. The stretch where Zion was playing like an MVP regularly had a rotation of role players step up. Who it was on any given night changed, but the role players stepped up regularly when the Pels were playing like a top team.
