Queen is super talented. But I see stuff that he lazy and not motivated. Plus he's a bad defender. That just scares me away.
I wonder if there is a player that can get to Zion and really help him put it together. CMB and Zion have a lot in common (Size, both from SC, both are left handed, hate shooting 3pts, love driving into contact..). Maybe mentoring someone would make Zion more engaged and accountable. Reignite his love for the game..

@brmark, I could not be mad at that! I like how you're thinkin too.

For all you that believe CMB can improve his 3 point shot over time....
The form doesn't look horrible. He needs to be sped up and lose that extra hop. A good shooting coach can iron a lot of that out. I'm not looking for heavy volume from him. Just 3-4 a game at about 33%. He shot in the high 20s this year on low attempts. He's a post up monster and should develop a dependable middle, especially how he uses the glass.
I'm looking at him as a 4th option defensive ace (basically Jones' role). He doesn't have to score a ton, just keep the other team honest.

I really like Collin Murray-Boyles. He would be a bit of a reach at #7, but people rave about him.
If you look at our team now, we have Zion and Murphy on the wing. McCollum will be the primary point until Murray comes back. Jones will probably be delayed too. CMB can step right into the 4 spot. Elite defender and rebounder that loves to bang. We don't have to do the two big line up anymore and he can run. Very high floor prospect. I'd suggest moving back, but I don't think he goes much later as he's borderline top 10..
I really don’t think it would be a reach for him, my only issue is offensively he kind of seems like a poor man’s Zion and I’m not sure he fits.
I’m also the guy who always says draft BPA and don’t worry about needs so it may not matter anyway. Just the idea of going from Zion to a lesser Zion, on paper is weird. But he also seems to be a good defender so that’s an added plus

I think CMB could be the next Draymond Green. His measurements are pretty similar. But Draymond is a unicorn and we may not see another guy like him during our lifetime.
Teams are also moving away from his archetype and moving back towards the ideal bigman archetype again.
On our roster, he's going to be a difficult fit and I don't really trust a guy like Green to figure it out. I think the only defensive big I'm willing to take is Maluach who is an ideal anchor for a team like the Pelicans who are a traffic cone down low.

Malauch seems like such a Dumars type pick, but I'd be disappointed if that's what we walk away from this draft with after all the talk and hope. Atleast give me Fears, Tre, Queen, etc.. someone who atleast has the potential to become an all-star.

Either way, they need to get a PG before the season starts. Do not want to see McCollum playing out of position again.

I’m throwing the MLE at Ty Jerome. I know he had a poor playoffs but he was great all year and I’ll worry about him underperforming in the playoffs if we actually get there.
He should be able to hold down the ship till Dejounte comes back
