I would be very happy with my $20 bet at +5000 if that happened
Me too, though I bet $50 at +6000. I think that the real odds should be more like +1000. Zion is going to crush the league this season.

This diet and planned meal stuff is great, but the number 1 thing that has hurt Zion in terms of his weight, has actually been the injuries and the depression of being injured, leading to just eating whatever the F he wants, to cope while his knee is torn or his foot is broken.
When he is healthy, it almost doesn’t matter what he eats as long as he plays enough basketball. He typically gets in pretty damn good shape if he can stay healthy for at least 5-6 straight months.
The issue is, sometimes what you eat can result in higher frequency or risk of injury. So an argument could be made, that eating healthier, could in fact keep him healthier injury wise.
These are all very positive changes though. The guy’s diet doesn’t have to be perfect. It just has to be better and it sounds like it is a lot better in general, even if he is getting a cheat day or sneaking a soda here and there.
He still is 22 years old. I’m pretty damn sure all of his similarly aged teammates are encouraged to eat whatever they want and however much they want. It probably kind of sucks he has to live under a different set of rules than his peers, due to his body type and perhaps having a slightly slower metabolism. That and the pressure of trying to live up to the hype of potentially being the next Lebron.
None of his peers, such as, Jaxson, Nickeil, Kira, Herb, Trey, or even Ingram have really had those expectations diet or career wise.

Fruits are full of sugar. I mean the chart has oranges on the eat and don’t eat side.
It is good to hear he is taking his health seriously though. Hopefully he can stick with it.

I'm sure he's talking about complex sugars like hfcs.

Pull all carbs? That's unncessary

Again, it's clear that he's talking about simple carbs, such as sugars and starches. Those cause blood sugar to rise and stimulate insulin production, which turns sugar in the blood into fat.

I got him at +8000 in April. So all of this positivity has Vegas drop him -3000 in a few months. They know it’s on!
ETA: I just checked on FanDuel and they still have him at +6500 for MVP with 15 players having lower odds than him.

I swear to god I’m never not amazed at how miserable some of y’all act on the internet
we’ve been begging for zion to get a personal chef and here it is. Someone to feed zion something other than fast food and candy.
I prefer to see the good news and be of good cheer about it

This guy is a known troll, he’s probably not worth responding too.

That chef was going to be funded by Gordon Ramsay for a food truck. He knows how to cook.

Fruit is bad for you according to penguin pubes. Can you please share a selfie? I’d love to see the body of someone who thinks fruit isn’t healthy.

He clearly misspoke, but we all understand what he meant and approve of the meal plan. It’s chuckle worthy, but doesn’t mean he doesn’t know what he’s doing.

Honestly, if some of the rumors are true about Zion’s love of junk food and soda
Just getting him into a dietary program that isn’t that, even if it is 30% of the way from ideal(and what is ideal in nutrition is seemingly a never stopping moving target), will probably result in Zion looking as good as he has looked since the early part of coming into the league.

I never said it was bad for you
And I never said he can’t cook
All I said is that he told us he’s getting Zion off of sugar and carbs. And then he said he’s feeding him a lot of fruit.
You can’t eat fruit without eating sugar/carbs.

The scary part is, Zion is still SO young. He's 22. If he buys into this Paleo thing, and continues lifting weights and gaining stamina, his body type means he might end up being the strongest, most freakishly athletic player the NBA has ever seen. Shaq or Wilt notwithstanding.
