We literally just saw MPJ be the 3rd piece on a title team.
I think MPJ being the 3rd piece (which is debatable) on a title team with Jokic and Murray is quite different than Trey being the 3rd piece on a team led by BI and Zion.
I mean Jokic just led the playoffs in points, rebounds, and assists.

That's an assumption that it'll fall that way. BI's extension is coming up as well. We need to be responsible how we spend.
That’s where I think things are really going to become difficult. BI is Griff’s guy/ surrogate child. He was the first to take a max contract without any options pledging his commitment to the team and city. Correct me if I’m wrong but his next max contract would call for a higher percentage of the cap correct? I mean there’s a lot of games to be played and fans/revenue to be made before that day comes but yeah let’s pay Dame 60 mill the same year lmao

Well you’d obviously be a tax team with dame. And I think that’s where a lot of the problem lies with ownership not wanting to pay to give the team its best chance ti win a ring. Gayle ain’t got that dawg in her

No two team compositions are alike,
So no teams are similarly composed in the nba?

Analysis isn’t necessary with these outrageous claims.

I mean. Go ahead and book this or whatever. Trey Murphy will never be the #2 on a title team.
I am completely amazed that anyone would say this.

On THIS team, and using the nuggets as an example, yea

I said his ceiling is a number 2, meaning he develops a few other things to his game like that off the dribble middie he's taken and makes, handle, and off the dribble 3s. Defense needs improvement but hes 23. If he can hit his ceiling he'd be a top 20 player in the league, and that definitely puts him as a top 2 guy on a title team.
Hes just that good, and again, he was thisclose to a 50/40/90 season. That has literally only happened 9 times ever.

Speaking of Trey, I listened to the road trippin podcast featuring Trey and we learned a couple of things.
He's currently at 214 and said he gained 10 lbs. That means he's been playing at 204. He's trying to gain weight gradually this offseason and he said his goal is reach 220 by camp.
Said he's working on movement, various 2nd level mid range shots, and pick and roll this summer. Said he wants to increase his volume and would rather be a 38% deep ball shooter on 10 attempts than a 41% shooter on less volume.
This is going to be a big year for Trey. He's going to have to let it fly with an ounce of daylight.

That’s good news, hopefully Herb and Dyson are following suit.
