Depends on what the stock is but if it’s something speculative; 20% is my pain threshold

You're going to jump into a speculative luxury market just because you felt out of place in Naples?
Are you saying that’s not a good reason?

I dont mean to sound rude, but if you are stressing over the price of luxury items then you cant afford them. Speaking strictly from a sound financial perspective that is....
My brother in Christ. Nobody is stressing over anything I assure you. Rolex’s are widely used as investment vehicles/ stores of value. It just depends on what price you get in like with any investment. With your logic technically this entire sub forum shouldn’t even exist.
And for the fella who claimed he never cared to notice what was on another man’s wrist. Congratulations, now you will ;)

Purses suck. I don’t even know the names of them but I’ve bought a few for my wife and she’s bought herself a few that were thousands of dollars
I don’t know anything about purses other than that with most top end brands like Hermes, Birkin, etc.. You have to have an equal amount of store credit or money spent at the store to the price of the bag before they’ll let you purchase one.
Like if you wanted to buy a 20k Hermes purse, you need to already have spent 20k on other things in the store before they’ll allow you to purchase one lol.
Idk if she made anything off them but my sister is a PA and took a year off work. She was able to get by liquidating her closet full of designer purses on ebay.
Different Strokes Doffernt Folks

Just spent the last month & a half down in South Florida, mainly in the Naples and Fort Myers area.
Hard to feel like you fit in over there if you’re not wearing 40k+ Rolex Sky dweller or Daytona.
Anybody into investing in watches? I’m thinking about getting into it and starting softer with something like a Batman submariner or diversifying in a couple cheaper pieces like an Omega and maybe an IWC. It’s a little intimidating because it’s not as simple hitting a red button on my computer and I almost instantly have all my money back.
Things have come down quite a bit over the last year or so and seem to be forming some sort of a bottom. I feel like Rolex’s are more liquid of a market too compared to something like sports cards. Less dirtbags trying to cut you down too.
Opinions?

How the hell did I forget about Lopez?? Him too.
Good afternoon gentleman. Brand new to tigerdroppings here. I initially joined the forum to talk Pelicans bball until I just stumbled across this group. Glad to come across some like minded Bayou boys, to say the least. I’ve been into crypto since I bought the top of BTC back in 2018 but I kept grinding and cut my teeth investing in Chainlink, Eth, Sol in early 2019 & 2020. Held cash from December 5th 2021 all the way till the FTX bankruptcy was officially announced in November and have been holding pretty much only BTC ever since. The red out es I look to are also very confident in 6 figure BTC in the not-so-distant future. And a majority are calling for it to happen BEFORE the next halving. As far as altcoins go.. there’s nothing that really speaks to me that I’d be confident exposing myself to for a long period of time. I may take 1 or 2 trades a month/quarter depending on what narratives are on the horizon or what opportunities arise but, for the most part, everything is still pointing to accumulating and holding Bitcoin. If there’s any NFT guys in here.. I apologize but you investments are going to 0. If Ethereum couldn’t flip Bitcoin during the absolute mania it brought amongst the space last cycle; it never will.
Anyways, looking forward to chopping it up with you guys. Enjoy the rest of the short work week and happy 4th!

He’s associated with the unlikeable 3 word named media agency that’s constantly throwing shite against the wall and hoping it sticks on YouTube and Twitter. As far as local beat goes, if it doesn’t come from Christian Clark or Will Guillory it’s to be taken either with a mountain-sized grain of salt or completely disregarded.

That's an assumption that it'll fall that way. BI's extension is coming up as well. We need to be responsible how we spend.
That’s where I think things are really going to become difficult. BI is Griff’s guy/ surrogate child. He was the first to take a max contract without any options pledging his commitment to the team and city. Correct me if I’m wrong but his next max contract would call for a higher percentage of the cap correct? I mean there’s a lot of games to be played and fans/revenue to be made before that day comes but yeah let’s pay Dame 60 mill the same year lmao

Gafford isn’t what any of you numb nuts think he is!!! For the life of me I don’t understand what’s came over you people to keep mentioning that guy’s name. I feel like I’m taking crazy pills
Brandon was already out for over a month at the time when Zion went down and we were too 2 in the west..
quote:
And I'd be shocked if anyone in New Orleans is buying Zion jerseys lately. Zion is not popular, and you think that we could run it back yet again if he's injured most of this upcoming season?
Bought one last week actually
Oh for sure they can stay together. From a cap standpoint. Now wether or not Dyson pushes BI or Z out the door when his pay day comes is the only question. I know that sounds like a crazy thought but, man that guy looked special before he hurt his ankle and only 19 years old.
This band isn’t staying together either way in 2 years lol. Especially after we pay Trey. Only difference is that we’ll actually still have things to work with (draft capital) when that time comes if we don’t frick it all up over an aging star.
Minnesota has really made navigating all of this extremely difficult after what the gave up for Gobert

If anything stop trying to trade the generational talent that’s had legitimate injuries. Yeah it’s 3/4 years lol but, why doesn’t anybody ever go at Brandon’s neck? That guy misses multiple games if a breeze hits him the wrong way and then has to be begged by his teammates to come back and play. 5 games missed because Naji’s hand brushed against his face. The 30 more missed for a bruised toe. A brusied toe.

Is your name Michael McNamara?

He got 2 firsts in the same draft in return. From a statistical perspective you take that deal 9/10 times. Plus he was operating from a position that Jrue was going to be a part of the team for a long time so I can see why he passed on Garland. You can MMQB that draft all you want but there’s no way that’s a mark against Griff

I agree. Also I’d like to add that you can’t hold drafting Jax, Nickeil, or Kira against Griff and Trajon
Jax and Nickeil were big prospective swings that simply didn’t work out as they more than often do. If you ask me, Jax was actually on the right track until; like many great men, the wrong woman entered his life. It can be argued that Kira is a victim of circumstance as well.. Nickeil.. Nickeil is a great kid and teammate but seemingly couldn’t get out of his own head after he did something wrong or his shot didn’t fall the first time.
No need to comment on the 2021 draft
2022- extremely high on Dyson and the jury is still out on EJ. I do like what I’ve seen from EJ in regards to his attitude and they way he gets along with the other players on the team though.
I think we’re more than competent in the draft
