The Mrs. and I are taking our little guy to his 1st Pelicans game next Friday against the Celtics. We’ll be in section 120. I looked online but anyone care to share if food is good enough inside SKC or should we eat before? It’s been awhile since I’ve had the options in that area. Been to a handful of games since the Blazers playoff series but those tickets were either courtside or in suite. TIA

To steal an old joke complaint - The food is terrible and even worse the portions are small.
I would eat before if you have the luxury of time. The virgin hotel has a nice restaurant bar and is close by. The butcher/Cochon is good if walkable.

They used to have the 3-point grill which was the same food served in the suites and club, but I haven’t seen it open recently. Otherwise, it’s just your generic stadium/arena food.
Depending on where you’re coming from, there are a lot of decent places to eat around the CBD. Personally, I usually eat somewhere on Magazine or Poydras if it’s a big game, and if it isn’t, I just eat at home before the game or after the game.
Someone mentioned Tava and I walk by it every time I go and there’s always a decent crowd there.

I'd say for arena food, the triplestack burger at Backcourt Grill is very good and the chicken tenders at Krispy Krunchy Chicken are above average.
But if you want anything more than arena food, visit a restaurant before

The joke is “well the food is terrible, but at least the portions are small”
I don’t understand how a City like New Orleans keeps contracting with Centerplate for concessions. It’s soooo frustrating that we go with some shite National Corp that gives us generic stadium food and then pay themselves on the back for adding some Zatarains carts because “CAJUN!!!!”
It’s miserable and we should have local vendors with good food.
