I don't care. I love to spur conversations and talk about out of box concepts. My favorite part of the sport is team building and moving pieces around. I'm not going to let you kill my joy. I'll take the ridicule and abuse, if it generates traffic and people jump in. You want to get rid of people and kill conversations for some reason. I don't get it. You're never getting rid of me. So I guess suck it up or invent that block function. I wish you luck either way..

Not true at all, just your dumb arse comments that not a single person here ever agrees with. Getting rid of you would be spectacular but everyone here knows you will continue to be the token retard in the Pels chat.

Every good story needs a villain. I'll happily play that role if needed.

Why do you want to get rid of posters and traffic?

Once again, I don't care for the use of that word. There are intellectually limited people that read and post on here. We should welcome all points of views. Jeer and have fun, but that's just being cruel and crass. You use it way too casually..

*Ahem*

An anonymous executive blasts Shaedon Sharpe

"How the [expletive] can you be the fifth pick in the draft if you haven't played in a year-and-a-half? It's not like it's [James] Wiseman and the guy is 7 feet tall. Show me where the five[-star] sh!t is. Show me,"

I'm guessing Sharpe's camp turned down an invite to workout for this teams so the exec is mad salty

I think Shamit makes a fair point. That's way too harsh of a review. It must have gotten personal with that anonymous exec.

What if that anon exec was from the Pels?

Could be.

And I've kept saying...

This isn't about whether any of this is true. I've never said it was.

All I've said is there seems to just be this persistent, small little rumors and things about him that just keep trickling out.

It could all be BS, and unfounded. That was never the point.

I think most people are speculating/going to speculate that it was the Kings.

There is a rumor going around that the Kings are having a hard time getting certain players to work out for them, as agents pretty much don't want their clients going there.

Then I hope we don't draft Sharpe at 8

I kind of got that vibe from what I've been reading. So I'm not surprised to see that said.

There is nothing wrong with the kid being raw and a high end prospect. I just look at a guy like Jalen Johnson and how he fell in the draft by playing those few games in college. Would he have been better off not playing in college at all?

Also, Johnson didn't contribute at all to the Hawks. But still has big upside. So if a team is willing to stash him for a year or two, it might pay off.

I said the same thing about Holmgren. Too raw. Even if Holmgren is the next Giannis. People here would lost their crap watching Holmgren having a similar couple of first seasons like Giannis had. There were flashes. People would be calling him a bust.

That is a luxury of drafting outside the top 10. Time to grow a player..

I don't see Holmgren as raw AT ALL.

Dude is pretty damn polished and has a nice, fundamental game in a lot of areas.

He just needs to add strength.

If nothing else it fits in with the Kings’ history of questionable competence and professionalism.

Possibly could have been Detroit, Indy, or Portland but none of them are in as dire straits as Sacramento, on multiple levels.

Its definitely leaking out that the Kings may be a bit frustrated in this process and just want out of the 4th pick.

No one wants to go there...and can you blame them?

Then I am more concerned than I was yesterday about our FO's maturity and growth over the last season in terms of the draft and building this team long-term.

Sharpe is simply following the advice of agents/advisors who have worlds of experience in these matters.

Maybe they miss the mark and Sharpe will pay by falling to 9 or 10 or something, but this feels like a Kings type meltdown. And frankly, maybe Sharpe would like to fall past the Kings, and who could blame him??

I think its a really bad precedent for the league and process, but I cannot hold it against anyone for absolutely not wanting to go to the Kings.

They are just such a bad franchise.

They have a history of never missing an opportunity to miss an opportunity.

Even when they get things right (draft Cousins, Hassan Whiteside, Isiah Thomas, etc, make Mike Malone the coach), they manage to frick it up.

Going in on Fox and Sabonis, combined with getting 4th in a three prospect draft, puts them in a bad spot for this draft.

That being said, they made their bed here through prospects they have passed on before and ones they shipped out, like Halliburton, to bring in guys like Sabonis.

And to me the constant in all of it is the ownership

Kings could bring in Pat Riley as POBO, hire Nick Nurse as head coach, Ime Udoka, Taylor Jenkins, and Ron Adams as assistants, but when ownership is constantly overbearing and micromanaging everything and doing so terribly, you just can't build a sustainable winner and culture out of that.

I don't get the Sabonis hate on here. He is a great player. Solid 20/12 front court guy with some range. Plus he is kind of cheap. Trading away Haliburton (with a Hield throw in) is a good swap. Especially when had 2 other PGs fighting for minutes with Haliburton. I don't see how it hurt them or who they could have got that would have been better, for what they gave up.

The Bagley pick is haunting them, just a huge miss. I didn't like the Mitchell pick either, just didn't make sense. But it's the same situation now. I think Ivey is the best player in the draft and he is going to be sitting there at pick 4. But he isn't the best fit for the Kings. How can they not take him though?
