Since 2017, okc has won exactly as many playoff series as us

With one more postseason appearance. And their playoff series win came against a team with their best player out and 2nd best player recovering from an injury not at 100%
For a franchise everyone says is miles ahead of us they sure as frick don't have anything to show for it, and I don't give a frick about "oh they have assets omgz young talent Holy cow they're set up"
Everyone said that about them 10 fricking years ago and they fricked that up too.

Yawn who cares, both small markets and the nba doesn’t care

If you can’t see that they’re miles ahead of us I don’t know what to tell you. The playoff series they won was a sweep of us. And this is year one of them trying to win and they got No 1 seed and playoff series win. They’re a much better franchise. Will they ever win a title? I don’t know. It’s really hard so probably not. But they’ll have a better record than us in the next ten years by far.

They beat us without Zion and Ingram hurt. Hardly impressive.

The frick? No it isn't. They got hurt last year with chet and made the final play in game. They tried to win last year too.

They had Kevin Durant and James Harden with Russ in their prime. Zero titles and one finals appearance with that core.
That doesn't make them a better franchise, if anything it makes them worse that they didn't win a title with more.

Yeah predicting the NBA over the next 10 years is super easy to do.

New Orleans got gifted the top pick in the draft twice, blew it both times with injury prone "superstars" who weighed the franchise down with their lack of health and work ethic, and barely squeezing into the playoffs to get bounced in the first round is the best they can muster.
Why did OKC sweep NO when their "stars" were hurt? Because they're always hurt. That's their schtick. OKC is the youngest team in the league and will likely be back in the top 4 seeds next year and the year after that while the Pelicans pray for the play-in tournament.
Silly post.

The Zion was hurt excuse doesn't work because Zion was hurt to finish every one of the last 4 seasons. It's to be expected. It would be surprising if he's not hurt to finish a season.

If a playoff nba team plays a team that's down its all star/all-nba level player (which zion absolutely was at the end of the year) and it's 2nd best player is playing injured, a sweep or gsweep is very likely, or you don't believe that the starting 5 is more important than depth. Which I know you don't.
And it's not like the pels got blasted 4 games straight, 2 games were close until the end.
So no, it's not as impressive and it's also not an indictment against us as to where we are.

By that logic you should've been proposing Zion trades in the trade thread. It's not an excuse. It's literally why we didn't have a shot in the series. He's a guy that is good enough to be elite and make players around him better.
And you've said before that the only path or shot we have at a title is with Zion. His games played have increased over the past two years. No one thought he'd play more than 65. No one. And he did.

Anthony Davis was not listed as injury prone by literally anyone. Zion had a crappy shoe in college and that's all you heard about their injury history before the draft, but it's the Pels fault they're injury prone? Dumbass take.

Get off of X/ESPN/Social media if you’re this upset about a small market team

All of this. OKC is young. Pels also young, but have been playoff fodder for a couple seasons now. Y’all should’ve taken at least one if we’re being led to believe OKC is no different. The fact that the series was so uncompetitive speaks volumes about OKC.

Their best player stays on the court and his commitment isn’t questioned. Their second best player compliments their best player and his roster status isn’t in limbo. Their FO has a clear vision and their coach isn’t arse
They’re building something with a foundation made of brick, we are building on a foundation made of legos

Yet another clueless basketball take.
I seem to remember another young team with an incredible star that was destined to be atop the conference for years. And how'd they do this year? Or the year before?
The league changes dramatically. Constantly. To predict the future of any team is a futile exercise.

And the pels can easily rectify this with our assets.

Their hc just blew their only chance of winning game 6 with one of the worst challenges I've seen over the last several seasons. They do have an incredible front office, but let's not act like the pels don't have one of the best contract players in the league via their drafting and very promising young talent as well.

Bro I don't think you know how serious Legos are.

Zion was hurt in a play in game, right?
The Pels shouldn’t have been in a play in game if they took care of business like OKC did.

Or could make it worse. And your superstar still has to function properly for #2 to work. OKC has the hard part figured out

Pales in comparison to our last 3 coaching hires and the product they put out. I wish that’s what we were complaining about on 5/19/24

Both can be true. Though you have two lottery picks in Dyson and Hawkins who played combined 29 minutes in the playoff series you just got swept in. On the other hand, OKC has its own two lottery picks in Williams and Giddey who are on the court complimenting their team well when it matters
Look, no one is melting about OKC losing in the playoffs. They’re just looking to build on what they have done. Now we are on here talking about Zion’s availability, what to do with Ingram, fire Griff/Willie, will Dyson take the next step, is CJM’s play part of the problem or solution, how do we fill the center position etc. Cool if OKC losing makes ya feel better about our situation, but you just don’t live in reality if you believe we are trending the same way

That's more of an indictment on Willie than them.

Giddey was absolutely trash for them in the mavs series and got benched.

OKC is miles ahead of us as a franchise. Poster “theducks” is still a phag though
