It’s not, I just don’t care for him anymore. Don’t think he’s as good as we originally thought earlier this season. Sabonis really carried that front court.

So the Pels already have Zion, NAW, and Didi also to develop.

I don’t think this would be a bad move to cash in as he is young, proven, fits, and on a friendly deal. This would be A move to stay more put with the vets we have.

Hayes is going to be the better overall player compared to Turner in the long run. Maybe he never develops a consistent 3 point shot but he did hit a couple this past season to give you some hope.

People forget how raw Hayes is but he showed some flashes of elite play which is promising as hell. He shouldn’t have played this past season but the fact that he was able to show what he showed when he got on the court should get people excited.

People are so damn dense. If you look at all the bigs that comes into the league and struggle in year one, You’d quickly realize that Hayes has surpassed a lot of expectations for such a project. The kid is ahead of where the staff thought he would be when they drafted him and planned for him to be in the G league.

That hurts.

I do think we could get in a situation we have too many guys to develop.

If we make no trades we have Zion, Hayes, #13, NAW, and Didi with less than 2 years of experience. That doesn’t even include the other 2nds.

Ingram, Ball, Hart, and Okafor are 25 or younger.

I also don’t want to waste several years just rebuilding on Ingrams next contract. We have Jrue has a solid veteran piece to help compete with the team.

Turner definitely regressed a little this year. His numbers are almost all down a but form last year which was his peak.
Probably due to a significant increase in Sabonis' role.

Yeah, Turner and Sabonis shared the court alot. Sabonis averaged almost 13 rpg. In the playoffs Turner has been averaging 9-10.

Looking at Pacers roster they may not want Hayes, he would be pretty redundant for them. A NAW, Melli, and 21 lottery protected 1st may get him though

Dell was hoping and praying, this is almost a no brainer.

I’m fine with keeping Hayes and the pick but that doesn’t make the team better until maybe 3 years from now, turner makes us better now and years later

Keeping it lottery protected would likely mean we keep the pick.

Looking at the west next season you have LAC, LAL, Denver, Utah, Houston, Dallas, GSW as pretty much playoff locks. That's not counting other teams like Portland, Phoenix and Memphis who all showed they are pretty darn good also. If we get in the playoffs above one of those teams then that means the trade was totally worth it, and I wouldn't mind giving up the pick then.

I think Turner will be overpriced for what he'll provide this team. I'd rather sign someone like Meyers Leonard or Kelly Olynyk, maybe even try and go get Thomas Bryant.

Sometimes you have to overpay for a good fit, we definitely overpaid for jrue but what else could we have did besides lose him? No free agents as good as jrue would have came here.

Don’t know much about Thomas Bryant, kelly olynyk I know can shoot 3’s but how is he on defense? Are you looking at these guys to start or come off the bench?

Why would Washington move on from Bryant when they got him relatively cheap and he has exceeded expectations?

well....he has a defensive rating for his career of 106. Favors is 104, and that is boosted by playing alongside the best post defender in the league for 5 years. Remove those 5 years and he's at 106 as well.

He's a more than capable defender in the post that can hold his own at times on switches, and shoots 37% from 3 for his career.
Yes i'd like to sign him.

Not sure he is a realistic option. He would have to opt out of his $13.5 million player option to sign for MLE with Pels.

He’s probably going to be too expensive considering he only gives you 20mpg. That’s not enough for what he’ll ask for.

There’s more than one way to skin a cat, if he’s gonna help this team I’m in. Would you take olynyk over turner if they both were available? Let’s say turner will eventually want 17 mil a year and olynyk asks for 14

Turner is under contract at 16 mil a year for the next 3 years.

But yes, give me Turner everyday
