Maybe I'm just wanting to be optimistic

But make or break on our season never really hinged on Rondo. If Rondo was the piece to put us on the post season, we were fricked anyway.

Cousins had 9 assists last night and has been bringing the ball up more than anyone else anyway. Maybe the smart teams will harass them enough to miss Rondo, but I think most wont.

My thing is, the fact that our starting PG and SF are out is potentially enough to break us. I know they weren't center pieces, but they still collectively brought a lot to the table. Hopefully we can hang on until they get back. But that's a long time to hang on

How many more starters can we lose for extended periods of time before the reality sets in though that we are not deep enough to overcome the injuries?

Name the other PGs on the roster besides Jrue and Rondo.

Yeah...therein lies the problem. We are paper thin at that position.

If we could get rid of AD and Boogie for absolutely nothing- no picks, no players, nothing in order to ensure this organization stays healthy for the next 10-15 years I do it immediately without hesitation.

Doesn't matter who we have on our team. The injury bug that surrounds the organization is very real and it's been that way since Chris Paul was here.

No point in discussing trades, picks if year in and year out those players aren't even on the court.

The team will probably be fine as long as the injuries don't happen to AD/DC and Jrue. However, the team is only $820k away from the tax. Adding a minimum guy for a few months won't push them over the tax, but it could make trades later in the season more complicated.

Yep, I think the team has to fully embrace Point Boogie now. Also only one spot away from a hardship exception now with Asik, Rondo, & Solo out, but I know we have a very tricky cap situation.

Don't we have it then because you left out Frank Jackson who is also hurt.

AD said in an interview after the game that its 4 to 6 weeks. I know AD isnt a doctor but he's definitely on the inside. If it is 6 weeks then he'd miss 8 games. I think this is best case.

You left off Frank Jackson. He's on a real contract, not a 2 way, so the Pels can get the Hardship Exception if they want, but like you said, they have a tricky cap situation.

If it is 6 weeks, he would miss about 16 games. That is still pretty significant.

Yep, totally forgot about the rookie. So we basically just need to wait two weeks and then we get a hardship exception.

Rondo being out also means we definitely hold onto Crawford now.

Wouldn't 4 weeks be the best case?
