I love those uni and logo renditions. I am all for incorporating Mardi Gras themes and colors into the the rebrand as it is uniquely New Orleans...the people and culture here is different than any other place in the world. Many people might not get it at first but it'll be a huge hit right away in Louisiana and the Gulf Coast.

I've been very into these threads on both boards because I love the Hornets and want to see what is best for the franchise. With that being said I am kinda torn 50/50 on this because I haven't seen anything that is hand down better than Hornets.

Does anyone really like any of these? New Orleans Brass sounds the best, but wasn't that a minor league hockey team or something?
I know Breakers was the name of the USFL team. Voodoo has obviously been the Arena team. If we're "rebranding" shouldn't it be something new if it can't be the Jazz?
Creoles and Krewe are terrible.

honestly i like hornets better than any ideas i heard yet. i think if they try to hard to make it sound new orleanian it will come off sounding real cheesy

I like Mardi Gras colors because it is unique to our region.
I also don't mind the Hornets name, a lot of NBA teams have a name that was originally for a team of a different region.
Lets just drop the teal and make the Hornets ours.

I like it. If "Pirates" was not such a plain/common name and Raiders/Buccaneers not already taken, I'd be down with the Jean Laffitte/Pirate theme. Maybe Pillagers/Marauders/Sentry.

I would just assume to keep the Hornets or go with Buccaneers. Maybe if Hornets rebranded before coming here, but they have 10 years of history now.

It was set by a shithead owner in a shithole state and has nothing to do with Louisiana. Hell, while we're going along with Charlotte roots, lets just call them the Southern Baptists. We can disallow dancing during timeouts. You can't actually drink at the games, but it will keep the aisles clean. Or how about the Queens? Charlotte is the Queen City, you know.
